Seabreeze stared at Clifftail in silence. He blinked once. Then he burst out laughing. "Great StarClan! I never thought I'd see the day when Clifftail is flustered over a love confession!" He dug his claws into the wet earth in an attempt to control himself, and eventually managed to calm down. "Ah, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." He cleared his throat. "Well, uh, do you like her back?"

Just then, Beechpaw's stomach growled. "I'm hungry," she announced before turning to face Herringpaw with a cheeky grin. "Did I scare you?"

He took a moment of silence to think before going "Aha!" and raising his tail in a eureka moment.
