Mordecai sighed. "I would tell you the truth, but I doubt you'll believe me."

"You'd better tell me or I'll slit your throat this time, and on perpose," Avean said.

"Well, I'm sorta a mixture of a golem and a zombie. In other words, I'm not alive. I was killed sometime ago. I remember death still. It was beautiful and tranquil. But then it all faded away. Humans found my lifeless body and 'fixed' it up. Filled me with artificial objects like gears and tubes. All I have left is my brain, my skeleton, and my shriveled up heart. They even dyed my fur red. I'm a science experiment that's been thrown away. Though, they sowed me up well enough that you can't see my stitches. So even if you did slight my throat I still wouldn't die. I don't have any blood." He said sadly. "In short, I'm not the wolf I used to be."
