Not sure about fairness in rarity, but personally I wouldn't accept this, since the fruits have very low demand-

i don't think demand really has a huge effect on this trade, i'm pretty sure they could get more with the pickle

Honestly, no. Fruits are too hard to trade off. You could get better trades for each of the pets, I think.
