It's what's known as an extended release pet. c:
Some of the older pets were available for many months (such as the Warriors, 2nd gen litters and butterfly wolves), so have lots of different adoption dates. However, it doesn't make it worth any less as it's exactly the same pet. ^^

Actually pets that were available for a longer period of time aren't valued the same. They are still from considered the same date so even if it is from '10 its release date is still '08, but their rarity value worth is slightly different.

An extended release dog from '08 that is rare is worth is around a mid-late '09 rare. It is due to the fact that they are readily available and were released for a long period of time.

For the best advice with extended released pets, the Fair Trade Thread is the best place to go

Oh no, I meant if you have two of the same extended release pet which are adopted, say a year apart, those two pets are worth the same as each other, rather than in relation to other pets. ^^ Perhaps I could have phrased it better. cx

The names for the "warrior cats" are based off when they were released with the books, I believe, thus Jaypaw is still Jaypaw from when he was released.

Yeah and they're not even supposed to be associated with the books anymore anyway. The names in this guide will never change, but people are still free to name their cats whatever they please^^
