What are Ether?
- Ether are the spirits of deceased felines, most specifically wild ones, such as panthers, lions, tigers, jaguars, and leopards. These spirits are visible only to those who they allow to see, and even then, they can disappear from sight at any given time that they choose. Their level of transparency greatly depends on their mood at the time. A happier Ether will be far more visible than a frightened one. Nevertheless, they are still constantly see-through, especially in daylight.
- Ether typically come out during the hours that the sun is down, and are far more active when the mood in visible in the sky. Despite being dead, they still enjoy stalking and hunting, along with other typical activities.
- An Ether never needs sleep, but, instead, will take naps to pass the time or to rid themselves of boredom. If your Ether is asleep, that's a sign that it's bored, and needs company.
- An Ether cannot age, grow, or change its appearance anymore because it is no longer living, and even as its old body decomposes elsewhere, the Ether will remain the same.
- It cannot pick up any objects, however, it can pass through any walls or material, except for water, which they despise, and will flee from if any contact is made.
- An Ether's markings depend on multiple different factors; their place of death, their time of death, their cause of death, and what they were thinking of before their death. Very rarely does an Ether have the same markings as it did when it was alive. Some Ethers can have the most outrageous of patterns and markings due to a complicated combination of causes.
- Ethers typically do not have accessories on them, considering any kind of cloth or jewelry would go right through them. The only way an Ether could be wearing any article of clothing, piece of jewelry, or accessory would be if they died with it on, and then it become wearable. But this is very uncommon, considering most wild cats do not wear scarves. If an Ether died in captivity, then, yes, it is possible, but still unlikely. Custom Ethers can be allowed accessories.
- An Ether also has scars, if any were visible on its body when it died. Depending on how injured the feline was, an Ether could have a broken or missing limb, wounds that will constantly bleed, or anything else of that nature.
- An Ether's personality is no different than it was when it was alive, unless their death was scarring enough to change them.
- Most Ethers are not the most social of creatures, and, thus, prefer to be tagged to an individual who does not own another Ether. They also tend to get jealous very easily, and will demand attention from the individual they are tagged to. However, some Ether prefer the company of their kin, and will actually be more willing to be tagged to an individual who owns one or more Ether at the time.
What Does it Mean to be Tagged to an Ether, or Have One Tagged to You?
Tagging is a fairly simple process. It's simply the bond between an Ether and an individual. An Ether that is tagged to someone typically has some kind of marking on their body, most often in black. These tattoos are usually fairly small, but in a visible spot, such as the back, the hindquarters, or the shoulder. Anywhere else is uncommon, but not unheard of. When you are tagged, you receive what is known as an Object of Trust. What this object does is it acts as an invisible, endless leash that keeps your Ether from running away. You may release your Ether by burning this Object of Trust. If you lose this Object of Trust, it will be impossible to call your Ether straight to you. It will, instead, report to where the object is.
How can I become Tagged to an Ether, or Have One Tagged to Me?

This form must be less than one thousand words. Feel free to go into as much description as you want in each category. Artwork is allowed - as many pieces as you want, in any kind of media - but no pictures can be used to describe the Ether's tattoo or the Object of Trust.
The designer of the Ether will them pick out one of the forms, and will then notify the new owner.
