A few moons after that, Palmpaw and Cocopaw became warriors, and Palmpaw was named Palmleaf in honor of her mother. Cocopaw was named Coconut.

Scoffs, his fur flaring with anger as the petty she-cat darts off. The more he thought on it, the more he believed his mother about love being a den tail, something to keep you going until your life forced was used up. Whatever her problem was, it certainly wasn't a love interest in the slightest.
