Flowerheart licked the she-kit's wounds gently. "Shhhh She whispered, curling around Amber kit and moving her her ruffled fur. Poor thing, she thought sadly, the kit seemed to be lamenting over her dead family members.

Amber snuggled closer to flowerheart shivering from fear. She cryed and diged her face into her fur it wasnt her mother but it was close. She mewed again her wounds still hurt but she just wanted to rest. Finally sleep toke over and she fell in to a sleep.

Mintbelly coughed he came out of his den and smelled blood. His eyes wided he smelled flowerheart to. He hoped she was ok because she was such a nice cat. He rushed to follow her sent Then stoped when he saw many dead kits the sent of badger and a dead mother.. and flowerheart curled around one of the kits. His eyes softed "Ohn Ny Starclan'n hat ever happened to thease'rm kities"

Flowerheart looked up at her good friend Mintbelly with kind yet sad eyes, "They smell of badger as does the area. There is one survivor, we must get her to the den after we stop the bleeding as good as we can. Bring cobwebs?" Her gaze flickered over to Shadetalon and she smiled sadly, "Thank you, but just look at Blackpaw and Foxstar." Her smile dropped quickly as she mentioned her two living sons. One of which was brutally attacked and fatally wounded by an eagle. And the other who was obviously a usurper to leadership. She then shook her head to his question, "We can't, Foxstar hates outsiders of any sort. But Mintbelly an-." She paused, "If I tell you this will you keep quiet about it?"

Mintbelly noded " Well theres not really anyone to blabber to. Of course I would" he looked at all the dead kits and the tabby mother. "Should we burry them..?" He asked sadness in his eyes

Flowerheart nodded, "It would be the kind thing to do. Mintbelly, want to help me dig the grave? Shadetalon?" She looked at the cat. "Well, I'll just tell you. I've just been helping the elders since Foxstar had exiled them. There's a few others, Mintbelly was just here at the right moment." She sighed, "I visit them every day. I mean, I trust you wi this, I really do. But tell anyone and I'll come after you."

He knew it immediately that he had said something wrong when Flowerheart's smile vanished. "I'm so sorry." He apologised, knowing that there must've been a way to solve this. Staring at Mintbelly, he nodded, though grief surged through him. "Someone have to take care of the kit for a while, I can do that, I guess?" He said, then added, "I am not good in kitting. But still..." He could't bear to see the kit to be tortured by the cruel,heartless killers in the clan.

Flowerheart shook her head, "Its alright." She assured with a sigh. "I come back to check on the elders every day. Perhaps Amber should stay with them, we have Brownbee there who was formerly a medicine cat." She smiled a little at her father, "And they are very fun and protective. But if you'd like you could come with me whenever I go." She tried to work the whole situation out, perhaps it would need some thinking but she felt that she was in good paws if she stayed with the refugees. "What do you guys think?" She waited for conclusion.
