Carter

Carter stood in the roundpen with his arms crossed impatiently over his chest. "We'll do this until you get this rght Killian." he said impatiently to the cheeky bay gelding. He had been free lunging him around the pen for the last 45 minutes, and in his eyes he had made no progress. Just when Carter had thought he was getting somewhere Killian would throw a buck and take off in a circle around Carter. Carter gave the horse a signal to move forward and the stubborn gelding leaped into the air and took off at full speed, sending puffs of dust into the air.

Lindsey took Sunny's leather halter and lead rope, the gelding was a bit jumpy, and free lunging him usually helped. She put the leather halter and carefully opened the stall door leading him out. She walked over to the round pen but saw it was already occupied, a guy her age stood frustrated at a horse.

Carter

Killian spooked to the side as he caught a girl and her horse out of the corner of his eye "Seriously? Seriously?!?!" He grumbled angrily at the horse. He ran his fingers through his messy brown hair and turned to face the girl. He rubbed the back of his neck, a bit embarrased "Uh sorry, we're having a little trouble adjusting to our new place. Isn't that right Killer?" he said as the horse took a spot next to Carter. Carter shook his head and clipped the lead onto the geldings halter.

Lindsey laughed and said, "Its okay, Sunny here is not quite used to it himself." The gelding who was grazing lifted up his head and snorted bobbing his head up and down as if he was agreeing.
Lindsey smiled at the gelding and said, "I'm Lindsey by the way, and you are?"

Carter

Carter reached his hand throuh the bars of the pen and shook her hand. He flashed her a charming smile and glanced the gelding over "Nice to meet ya, I'm Carter." he introduced himself. Killian stretched his nose out to sniff the other horse and let out a short squeal. "And this here is Killian." he said, patting the flashy bay Appendix on the neck.

Lindsey smiled and gently pet the Killian's muzzle, instantly Sunny nudged his muzzle under her hand. "I haven't forgotten about you Sunny." she laughed petting her horse as well. "So, what do you compete in?" she asked turning to the topic over to riding.

Carter let out a small laugh at Sunny "Looks like someone's jealous." he joked and leaned against the pen's fence "I mostly show jumpers, but I have been known to be quite the eventer." he said with a wink. He looked at Killian and a smile spread across his lips "I owe it all to this dude right here, he can be a real jerk sometimes but he always manages to pull through." he said, scratching the bay's thick white blaze. "How about you?" he asked Lindsey.

Lindsey smiled and said, "Well we're pretty well known in the hunter/jumper ring. But cross country is another specialty of ours."
She patted the gelding and said," He's always been amazing considering how nervous he gets."
She swung her hair over her shoulder and asked, "So are you going to compete in the show they are hosting here?"
