kodiak looked briefly worried when ferox unexpectedly lost his balance and tumbled headfirst into the snow, but soon
enough her whole body was trembling in an attempt to hold in the laughter building inside her. the grand spectacle of
a completely snow white ferox poking his head out of the heap of snow like a fox was enough to lead her into a
laughing fit. she did her best to shake off the amusement as she tread through the snow to reach the powdered mutt
and help him wiggle out of the white dust. "be careful. you wouldn't want to gain a twisted ankle in such cold weather
like this." she spoke, observing him with a motherly expression. kodiak stepped forward and gestured with her head to
the area near the other side of the meadow. "well, why don't i teach you a few tips some of the wolves had taught me
during my past huntings?" she led ferox to the designated patch of snowy field and scanned the distance around her.
the brindled fae sniffed at the air to get a sense of what and how she would hunt. a distinct whiff of rabbit filled her
nose and alerted her that their prey would be located to their right.

she crept closer to the direction of the smell before she turned to her male companion. "are you ready?" she looked
forward again and calmly snuck along a chain of barren bushes that barely hid them well. the power of camouflage
would be the first lesson she would teach ferox, that being one of the most important things a hunter could learn.
without warning she laid down and started rubbing herself against the snow. she writhed every which way until she
was sure she was cloaked enough then faced her temporary pupil. "number one rule of the chase for kill, always
disguise yourself against prey. follow what i just did." she said intently, glancing at the ground then back at him.
though she seemed to be composed and in total peace with her teaching, inside she was anxious on what would result
in the end.

the female belgian malinos, woke from her slumber. slowly rising to her small dainty paws, standing upon her thin, yet strong legs. she yawned and stretched out her medium sized body, standing up tall again, and shaking out her short fur. she slowly trotted to the entrance of her den, looking out to see most of her pack members awake now. she saw her alpha then a few others, sighing she headed out to the forest. ghost always knew she had her morning hunt alone. so he didn't bother stopping her. the female trotted out to the snow covered meadow, the breeze flowing through her short fur, she reached the edge of the snow dusted meadow, softly crouching down and sniffing the air, she could smell deer around, maybe a few rabbits as well. she began to curve her way into the tall grass, careful to not crunch her small paws, against the snow too loud. she made her way to a small doe that grazed by itself. pouncing upon it and killing it with a bite to the neck, and a shake with her jaws. later on she dragged the large doe back to camp, tossing it upon the kill pile. sighing softly and trotting around the camp, keeping a eye out for humans. even though the dogs, and wolves were hidden away in the snowy forests, humans still searched for them to kill them.. so caribou made her way around the camp grounds. softly raising her nose to the air as she trotted around the camp.

the alpha male had already been awake, seeing everyone was interacting made a smile stretch across his muzzle. he sighed and gracefully jumped upon his alphas rock, looking around at everyone. he sighed softly and smile to himself.

scout opened her eyes in the dim sunlight, growling softly to herself. she hated being awoken by the sun. she rose gently into her thin legs and casually stalked out of her den, head and ear down grumpily as her tail stayed lifeless behind her. her thin frame was begging to lay back down again, but she knew she should wake. she went over to a small puddle of water and lapped up some before going to sit in the shade. after a few minutes, she felt more awake- her ears where up along with her head, showing how much taller she actually was. she let her tail sway softly before rising once more, stepping over some fallen branches and letting her brown eyes study her surroundings. the east smell of dogs who had been plenty awake before her filled her nose, and she gave a sneeze, stumbling a bit. she kept walking around camp, just enjoying the late morning stroll.

Observing as she stood up, Zevan did the same, shaking out his pelt slightly to get rid of the debris. her words rang into his ears, making him chuckle. "A healer is just as important as a fighter. Who would be there to heal the fighter's fatal injuries?" He seemed to question, but it was more of a statement. Turning his head around, he caught sight of his alpha, planning on heading over to him shortly. Looking back to the female, he smiled. "I'll see you later, Aiyanna. Make sure to keep some room in your stomach." he voiced before bowing his head to her slightly, more in a friendly way than a rank-wise way. Then, he turned around, padding off in the direction of his alpha. He made a mental note to plan his own little hunt, so he wouldn't forget his promise to her. "Greetings, Alpha." he spoke, bowing his head down as he approached the male. He knew his alpha was a kind soul, but he also knew he had his off moments as well. "Do you have anything planned for the day?" he questioned, letting his haunches rest against the cold terrain, his gaze straying away from direct eye contact.

As Aleha bounded back to camp, she observed her surroundings. They were much different from human towns or homes, and it saddened her to think that at one time, she had been a part of a family home. Taking in a deep breath, Aleha looked forward, focusing back on getting to camp. She decided to put talking to the other healer off for now, knowing the chances of one of their own getting injured today was slim. As she entered camp, she caught sight of another, knowing her by Scout. "Morning there, Scout!" she barked out, still being a few feet away from her as she approached.

she nodded a farewell to Zevan and wandered back to her den, sorting through her medicines and other junk she kept littered around. As she tidied up a little, her eyes stopped on the empty container for the poppy seeds. I need to fetch some of those.

As she emerged into the light again, she slipped through the trees and towards the meadow of poppies. As she padded down the thin dirt path, her eyes watered. There was the tree, with the weird hole on the inside, and the stump with the face etched in the bark.

The poppies were red, and there were alot. As she clumped a hold of the container, she walked further into the feild and started collecting the seeds.

scout flicked her ears as someone yipped a greeting to the pretty fae, aleha. scout slowly padded over to her, keeping a soft smile on her face. "hey, aleha." scout said, slowly yawning afterwards. "what's up?" she asked. she shook out her pelt and sat down, wrapping her tail around herself. she had always wanted to be a close friend of aleha's- she just never really got around to talking to her. scout rattled her tail a bit, partly because of her calm mood and partly to the chilly air.

aaden was sat, her white muzzle lifted towards the sun as its rays beat down on her. the aidi had been up since the magnificent orb in the sky had broken over the horizon, casting it's beautiful light over the land. she was always more of a morning type, waking up early- she enjoyed the cool, quiet, peaceful time dawn offered, with no one awake and no noise except the songs of the birds. but, by now, she knew, nearly all her pack mates would already have been awoken by the brightness of the sun, and soon it would be time to tend to her duties. the dog sighed, blinking her soft, chocolate eyes open. she had yet to make a good friend in her pack; she hadn't yet let anyone get close to her. not a day didn't pass that grief didn't engulf her, and even now, as she gazed at the sun, she began to think of all she had lost. but she shook her gray head. the past is in the past- i can't let it destroy my future. and, though she had vowed to forget what had happened behind her and all that was lost, the terrible, sad thoughts always seemed to come crawling back to meet her, even now as she gazed at the sun and cloud painted sky overhead.

I sigh and twitch my tail about a little, getting more comfortable with the fae. Her ears pin back to her skull giving her quite the menacing look.
I see. I stay because well honestly I don't know. I can never really live on my own. I am a pack wolf at heart. These pets push my buttons but they are quite loyal. I say glancing over her watching the snow fall lightly from the sky. I loved the winter, I don't know why but I did. I thought winter was the most beautiful time of year. I glance at her and give her another wolfish smile.
it is very strange indeed to have pets but they pull their own weight. I say standing back up and testing the air not forgetting about my mission to find the fox.

Ferox shook his head with a small laugh escaping his muzzle. As they laughed together and he crawled out of the snow heap, she examined him to make sure he was okay. "I'm fine, don't worry." he said and he lashed his tail around with a small smile on his lips. She offered him some hunting tips, and he nodded with a soft smile. "Okay," he said in a low but soft voice. As they slowly crept into the meadow and stayed camouflaged from any predators or prey they needed to stay hidden fro. "Chase to kill," is what he heard from her. Ferox nodded his head and stayed low to the ground, and stayed hidden. As they slowly crept closer and closer around the meadow. Kodiak was very calm, and at peace while hunting. He thought it would be other wise. He lashed his tail around with a smirk on his lips. "Well, lead the way, i'm behind you." he said with a soft smile on his face. He glanced around the meadow and picked up scents of other animals and prey.

Dysis lashed her tail around and glanced at the male with a small smirk on her muzzle. As she started to relax and her ears went back to normal state. She watched Acheron's body movement as he seemed more relaxed. She felt snow lay upon her fur. It was cold, but it felt nice. The female nodded with a shrug. "I guess we have different opinions." she said bluntly but with a smile on her lips. She saw him sniff at the air, the fox. She had saw him a couple days ago. Not sure where he was headed but she didn't want to tell since she was against the pack life. "So, how come you haven't attacked me yet?" she asked and walked up to him, she dragged her tail under his chin. "Just curious, won't your pack be angry with you?" she asks with a confused look. "Most packs would be angry, wouldn't they?" she said tilting her head. She never lived in a pack. Never grew up with one. She doesn't know how they work. But she certainly made so assumptions about the pack life.

Nymeria dipped her head in return to White Fang as he began to answer her question. She listened intently as he explained that he was going to go on a patrol. He was silent for a moment afterwards, making Nymeria assume that he wanted to go alone. She could have found something else to do or someone else to go with, but before she could depart he asked if she would care to join. "I would love to, thank you for asking," she replied with a friendly wag of her tail. "You can lead the way," she added with a nod towards the exit of camp to signal that he take the lead. Nymeria usually liked to be the one in charge, but since White Fang had so kindly asked her to join along she thought it right that he took point on this excursion.
