Mani nodded. "Then I go to the moon, it moves." She said. "I have to do this every night, except for when there is no moon." She told him. "It is strange, I hardly know much about it myself, I hadn't wanted to do this, but i was forced to." She explained. "I have a sibling who does the same but they chase after the sun."

[hypnowave]

"I see." For once, Castor's voice held no emotion. He didn't sound cold, but he didn't sound happy either. It was a mere statement with no place, and he didn't know why he said it. One one hand he felt bad for Mani; having to do something that wasn't a choice... well, it made it hard, being yourself. And on the other hand, he felt bad that she hadn't told him, but what reason did she have not to tell him? He knew that she wouldn't have told him at all, if he hadn't woken up at this hour. He couldn't blame her. But at the same time, he felt... betrayed? Mistrusted? He didn't know the exact word for it.

[wolf ;;]

Mani didn't detect any emotion in the winged wolves voce, and she blinked her eyes once, slightly confused - was something wrong? she then looked at him, flicked an ear. "What are you doing up at this hour, anyway?" She asked. "Its really late, I wouldn't expect anyone to be up at this time." She told him.

[hypnowave]

"Dreams unsettle me." That was all he said. His voice cracked.

[ i think it's high time we succumbed to one-liners. ]

[wolf ;;]

Mani stayed silent for a moment, and then she glanced back at the moon. "If you want, you can come with me while I have to do this? It could clear your head a bit." she suggested.

"Very well." Castor didn't like the idea, and he suspected his ghost didn't either, but he said nothing, only following her. He wondered how Mani came to live the way she did. He wanted to know more, but he couldn't ask, even if he wanted to. She would expect more from him in return, and he couldn't give her that, the haunting past he had. He couldn't give her that, ever.

[wolf ;;]

Mani kept following the moon, or rather chasing it, and the moon moving away, like it was suppose to, like she was chosen to do. She said nothing else to the other wolf - she liked the silence as it was right now.

Castor followed, partly curious and partly sympathizing. He didn't know what it was like to be born with a purpose... or he did, but chose against it. Couldn't Mani ever do the same, did she like what she was made to do? He asked himself.

Mani was so exhausted, from having to do this exact same thing every night. Not only was it boring, but it messed up her sleeping patterns. She wanted to have a break, but at the same time she wanted to follow it, although she knew she'd never reach it. Maybe it hid secrets?

[hypnowave]

As Ren pondered, he didn't realize how he was subconsciously following her. His wings never missed a beat, and neither did his heart. That was the reason why his thoughts were wandering. He hated it, being born to do a task you never had the chance to choose.
