Wax worms are good for fattening up a reptile. I pretty much only feed them as treats unless someone needs to put back on some weight.

Yeah, I fed them to my leopard gecko when he lost his tail.

What would you guys call a healthy weight range for a bearded dragon?
I'm working on an assignment in which I designed a feeding plan for one.
The bearded dragon weighed 0.51kg at the end of the plan - good or bad?

It depends on the age and sex of the beardie.
Though if you care to share your feeding plan several users here, including myself, could tell you if it would be a good or bad feeding plan.

I moved my crested geckos into a smaller tank that what they were in.

it may seem crazy but here is my reasoning:

they WERE in a critter keeper, so it was hard keeping the humidity in, plus the actual cage started to smell like something died(even when scrubbed out and washed really well, it just smelled like something died in it).

but my parents bought a sample for custom plexiglass vivariums , so I moved them into it. the air holes are on the side to the humidity should hold better.

they went from a 14x10 cage to a 12x8 cage. they are still very tiny babies so they have plenty of room to roam, and we will be getting a few more cages that are bigger (18x18x18 and some 24x12x12 ones).

I also redid their substrate from the coconut stuff(I forget the name, it comes in a brick) to a piece of reptile carpet with a layer of sphagnum moss for humidity. they also have their three potted vining plants for hides and climbing area.

also does anyone know how to get a crestie to eat? my one is a pig and eats anything, but the other one is not eating as often, and is very skittish so I cant make him hold still to be hand fed. I have caught him eating, but he never eats a lot, so he is staying skinny(at least compared to the other one, who is eating well). I leave a bowl in the cage at night so they can get to more food if they get hungry after I hand feed them, and they typically eat the entire bowl(its really a bottle cap from a soda bottle that I cleaned, its perfect to hold their food).

the largest(also the best eater) is a little over three inches long, the smaller one is about two and a half inches long.

herpluvin, I don't know much about cresties, but one of my leopards like, never ate. And when she tried, she'd miss and her food would get away. (This is my super black hole named Minnie if y'all were wondering.) I just brought waxworms home to see if I could get her to eat them, and she loves them so much like it's the best thing she's ever tasted. She's got a full lil belly now. I guess I'm gonna have to buy them regularly then, she's gonna get fat.
Maybe once she's fat I can start teaching her to eat mealworms without missing every time.

I've got a lovely leopard gecko named Whisper. I have had her for a year and a half and I feed her mostly mealworms, but have slowly started to try feeding her crickets as well. It seems like she forgot how to catch them, is this normal? She kind of just lets them walk around, pretty much ignoring them for the most part. I have seen her eat maybe one or two but the rest just die on their own. What should I do?

What are the temps in the tank and what have you been feeding him?

your turtle could be trying to hibernate
if you don't let the temps drop, that shouldn't be a problem
unless he's like
from the wild
then idunno
