"I think I'll be alright until lunch-ish time. Here let me help." I bent down to pick up the sweet smelling pancakes, threw them away, and got a wipe to clean the sticky mess of the syrup.
"This is my fault after all."

She nodded and unleashed the bigger dog. "There you go buddy.." Sebastian whoever didn't seem so happy for not being able to run free,so she stroked his head "Aww,it's okay buddy..you will stay here with me and Alex,we are not that boring." she smiled and looked up at the clear sky with her blue eyes for a moment.

He returned with the broom and handed her a garbage bag, becoming more aware of the glass in his foot. He pushed to the back of his mind and threw away the food and bits of glass then wiping the syrup up. He could see the faint puddles of blood on the wood, but ignored them and looked back up at Shezza. she doesn't deserve to go through something like this, he thought bitterly. If he saw this boy, he wouldn't hesitate to beat him up for putting her through this kind of torture. "Hey, it isn't your fault, She. It slipped out of my hands is all," he said in an attempt to make her feel better.

I looked down and saw a small drop of blood, and I checked my feet, I didn't have any glass in them so it must be Daniel.
"Daniel you should sit down, like now. I think you have glass in your foot."

He shook his head. "Its nothing, really. Let's just get to the mall," he said as he rose to his feet and walked to the trashcan to throw the bag away.

I stopped him.
"It's not nothing, Daniel. I dont want it to get infected, and you could be hospitalized. So, SIT. DOWN."
I was worried about him and how he thought that glass in the foot wasn't a big deal when it was huge.

He sighed and sat down, not wanting to upset her. He raised his foot a little to give her a better view of it. "How bad is it?" He asked.

I took a knee to see his foot and the was a deep gash with a shard of glass in it.
"It's, uh, pretty bad. Got tweezers anywhere? And maybe first aid supplies?" I asked, needing to get the glass out.
