Most definitely MCA. (Minecraft Comes Alive)
It gives me purpose in (Minecraft) life. It makes me feel like the mayor of the village and that I have to protect my citizens every night and it makes Minecraft not so lonely. (I'm a lonely person)
I like making up little stories on it. Once, my 'mother' was killed by a skeleton (That's how I found out skeletons attacked my fellow villagers) and I took revenge and...

Tinker's Construct is a mod I can't go without, but I can't say it's my favorite mod. My favorite right now is probably...Mo' Creatures. But I also really like IC and Thermal Expansion...and MFR...and Twilight Forest. Oh, also Chisel. And Carpenter's Blocks. And maybe if I'm feeling fancy, Mr Crayfish's Furniture Mod. But I had fun with Dragon Mounts. OOOH and Open Blocks. Open blocks is great. I like painting people's houses pink and stuff.

I really like Doggy Talents. It lets you turn a vanilla wolf into a dog that won't die on you by drowning, jumping in lava, or running in front of your tools. You can also train your dog to have very useful abilities and play fetch with it. Singleplayer MC gets waay too lonely without pets of some kind.

I agree with you. MCA is by far my favorite mod. You can have a family! I always make my children hunt and sometimes they die. D:

I don't have any mods installed but I like the MCA mod and Doggy talents but doggy talents doesn't that much to the game. I like minecraft comes alive because it makes the villagers look different but my favorite has to be the mods that add in new animals and monsters because it just makes everything more fun then just plan vanilla minecraft.

My favorite mods/mod packs are FTB direwolf, Life in the Woods, Biomes O' Plenty, and the millenaire mod.
There was one other one I loved too but I can't remember it's name and the last I checked it all got shut down because the owner didn't want it to be updated anymore.
