Torun...

Torun turned as the familiar voice resonated through the trees. Lockbreaker seethed as its kin was brought near, giving a little rattle as it wished to be let free so it could assert its dominance. The two pieces always seemed to mingle like that when in any proximity to each other. "Meanwhile, as I'm aware you've done nothing but contribute to your family's reputation of killing without prejudice. It's good to know we're still predictable after all these years." he said, not really phased by the presence of the old companion, but surprised his brother wasn't there to keep the man on a leash. Torun always liked to believe there was a reason Terucin shortened his name down to Sin with an S. "What brings you here, to such a remote place? The Everlasting send you on an errand to fetch my sword again? Remember how that worked out last time." he mused, grinning at the old memories. He did wonder what the other man here thought of the reunion, it certainly wouldn't contribute to his shock on a positive note, but that wasn't too large of an issue.

If only it were a fair fight.

Ixion...

Ixy retreated several yards away as the chains began striking down random trees around him. Heavy arm, relay fire. Mikael's arms thickened and the appendages became like walls of stone flesh in a matter of seconds. Lifting his arms up Mikael repelled each of the assaulting chains before taking hold of some of the new fallen trees and flinging them at the fast, but small target that was the woman who so eagerly wished for his immortality to end. Ixion kept a careful eye on the scene, but thankfully with both his vision and Mikael's he was able to remain completely aware of his environment without needing to put himself in harm's way. Mikael might not be able to effectively assault the woman, but he could keep her at bay with ease, and that would give Ixion all the time he needed to take the proper shot.

Sin gave an easy laugh, unperturbed by the larger man's demeanor. "No, I have already gone and paid the price if choosing to not follow that course of action instead," he replied easily, as if the matter didn't concern him in the least, which it very well might not. Sin also chose to leave out the small fact that it had been his brother, Sev, who had finally managed to convince Sin to give up the attempt to gain Torun's sword, and just take the punishment instead. The large man had always liked Sev more than Sin, which was a constant source of minor confusion to Sin. His powers certainly outclassed Torun's, but as both harnessed chaotic energy, the two were more compatible than Sev and Torun would be. Sin could only assume that things like friendship weren't as easy as they might first seem. "Though, I haven't killed anyone in quite some time. Why is it that you still wish to hold this over my head? Both Sev and I have had our lives drastically shortened thanks to you, and I have no grudge or issue with you, and obviously neither does Sev. I have made my recompenses and moved on." Sin had a theory that he could essentially cause anything to happen with his powers, as he tapped into the chaotic energy inherent in their universe, that perhaps he could sap or tap into the energy of Torun's sword. He didn't know what doing so would even do, if this was possible, but he theorized that it might be one of the very few ways he could restore the lost life he used. Sev had very flatly refused Sin to follow this course of thought, however, and Sev was the only one who Sin would listen to usually. "Is there something else you wish of me?"
"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more:
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

"Life is as tedious as a twice-told tale,
Vexing the dull ear of a drowsy man."

"And this our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks,
Sermons in stones, and good in everything."

Torun...

Torun chuckled. "No. There's nothing I really wished of you in the first place, except maybe that you'd be in the presence of your brother. I always wonder what you do when unsupervised." he mused, still putting a hand on Lockbreaker protectively. He was familiar with the man's interest in his war piece. He knew it would be useless and lifeless if removed from his grasp, but he wondered if Sin still thought of what he could do with the blade still clenched in Torun's hand. The thought was only slightly unsettling. Even still Sin typically moved with purpose, even if he acted like he was just following the wind. There had to be some sort of missing piece here. "So if Sev's not here, where is he? Surely your telepathic connection to that lunatic could tell you something as to his location." he suggested, smirking slightly. Even though Sin was a bit disturbing in presence, he was still an old friend, and old friend's could still make him smile, if only a little.

Sin shrugged slightly in return, even that movement seeming like he had no care or whim as to anything around him. "Sev, as I am sure you know quite well, has always been something of an odd character," the man replied, his normally even and lukewarm tone tinged with amusement. "This time he sent me on ahead while he went and dealt with some other issue. If I remember correctly, it was something about saving some people. We had passed a rather well-to-do fort of bandits." With these words, Sin paused for a moment, reflecting back. "Crude in nature, what else would one expect from bandits, but impressive for what such simple men could accomplish. I believe it used to be a castle at one point, which has long since fallen to ruin. These bandits, large enough in number I would imagine," These words were dangerous enough from the perturbing character, as he could literally do anything at the whim of his imagination. "But I digress; Sev left to valiantly overthrow this fort of bandits and rescue all he could. I am sure that it had something to do with saving innocents and preventing further harm." A soft chuckle emanated from Sin at this. "As I said, Sev is odd. Not above killing, stealing, lying, cheating, or other such frowned upon actions, but often acts much like a paladin might." He decided to leave out the fact that Sev also enjoyed nothing more than to test his abilities against anything he perceived as a challenge, and did as much as possible without using his powers granted to him by his War Piece. Sverdar Al'Verth was also the only known person to actively spar with Torun, given Torun's War Piece and the abilities granted with just drawing the blade, and often times without relying on his own powers. Sev was never able to defeat Torun, for who could defeat a person with a War Piece without one themselves, but he was still enough to give Torun a much-enjoyed challenge when they did meet. "I'm sure he will be along presently, though it would not surprise me to find him aiding some other poor soul at this point. My brother can be quite aggravating in that manner."
