haha i need more males for that XD, iam going with playing Tidal wave a lot, i get a lot of gold from it and iam going to practice when i have time but cant get on with a game based off that kind of puzzle i got 5,000 quite quickly, dosent help i lose track of time while playing it though. I recon ill get a fair bit of gold tomorrow

3k-5k each? Good lord, that's exalt fodder prices! Actually, 4-5k is usually minimum price, for ugly triple basic plentifuls and the like. If they're sort of pretty, at least list them at 6k! Adults go up for 7-10k each, dragons with new genes are usually pretty expensive, in the 75k-400k area, while simply beautiful dragons can reach up to 100k zone if they're really nice. Gen 1s, as long as they're decent, go for around 30k each, while the super rare, super pretty Gen 1s can shoot up into the millions. I prefer to sell my really average babies for 6k, and the rarer and prettier ones go up for around 20-30k.

Also, if any newbies are unaware of how a few things work...

Gen 1s: Dragons hatched from eggs, extremely rare drops while scavenging or very, very rare drop in the coliseum. Eggs themselves sell for 70-80k each, on average. The baby inside could be junk, or it could give you 400k+ in treasure. Gen 1s are dragons that are not related to any other dragon on the site. They're all plentiful, and each one is randomized. When a double, or even a triple colored dragon is hatched, and the lucky user auctions it in the forums, then bidding wars can carry the price to tremendous heights. A lot of users enjoy collecting and geneing up these dragons, as they are very unique, and are, frankly, a show of wealth, and dedication. It's an interesting challenge to be sure. I have 3 that I've gened up myself...

Breeding: A rarer dragon will be less likely to produce children of its own breed when bred with a less rare dragon. Same thing with genes, wich are each assigned a different "level", and certain ones are harder/easier to pass on than others. As for color, the possibilities are determined by the color wheel. Take the two colors of the parents, and find them on the wheel. The shorter distance between them is the range of colors that the hatchlings can have. For example, you have a pearlcatcher pair, and parent's primaries are black, and lavender. The possible primarys that the babies can have are black, obsidian, midnight, shadow, mulberry, thistle, and lavender. Here is a helpful tool to help you easily figure out the range between two dragons.

For a newbie that's the best way, yes. C: You should venture into the coliseum when you have time, though. Grinding there is also a good way to make money, and once you get a team to level 25 you can train and exalt for profit. That's how I make most of my treasure.
Other than that, just keep doing your dailies. Between gathering, Tomo, and bonding with familiars, it adds up pretty quickly.

Well,
I don't want to out the user incase they just forgot or something. But we agreed to exchange a pet for the 100k. I told them I was gonna send the treasure and they replied with the go ahead. I sent the message on fr and one here saying that it was sent.

They responded here asking if I minded waiting as they were in another trade. I asked if it was the pet we talked about and if so could they send me the treasure back.

They agreed to both points and was online for 30 minutes after the fact. I received no message with the return of the 100k or the pet.

do you have the PMs where you discussed the trade?

take a screen shot of the transfer of the 100,000 and send it along with the PMs to the mods here - they can force the transfer of the pet
