Brightstar gasped. "How?" he'd been in the camp a few mere hours, and already two deaths. Maybe he wasn't cut out to be leader.

Custardkit looked horrified. "How can you betray our brother!" she calmed herself and pressed against Flashkit and Sunkit. "Look. We're littermates. We have to stick together, no matter what!"
