He blushed and hugged her back, resting his head on her shoulder. "All right," he said softly, not wanting to let her go just yet. He drew back and offered his arm for her once again, as he turned to face his car.

Good God! That sounds about like what we get here (still north Texas, lol) in about a 10-year period! But if you're wondering, I never actually mentioned a location of where UHS is set, but yeah, it's supposed to be outside of Dallas, TX.

When he laid his head on my shoulder, I almost cried. He was basically trembling. I took hi arm when he offered it, but slid my hand down to his and intertwined my fingers with his. I looked up at him, blushing with a small smile.

Jeremy, unaware of what's going on, sends a text Daniel's way. "So, you ask Shez to the dance yet or nahh? Carly and I are going. Don't see any reason why you and Shez shouldn't go together."

yeah, in the UP, that was just the result of two big snowfalls. Ill have to break out the snowmobile soon )

He tightened his fingers around hers slightly, his hand still shaking. He was smiling and they were almost to the car when his phone buzzed again. He took it out and read the text from Jeremy, holding the phone so Shezza could see it too. He didnt do this on purpose, just a force of habit. He read the message and his face turned beet red. He texted back, "No, not yet. I dont know how she'll react... *sigh* I'm not good at this, like you are, Jeremy."

I saw his phone, but I pretended not to, blowing a fog ring with my breath in the cold air.
"Alright, so the guy on the phone, he was my ex, kind of." I said getting into the car.
"He liked me, I liked him, we were the only bikers in my school, and I thought he was really cool, but he wasn't. He was horrible." I sighed.

He reads Daniel's text and responds in kind: "If you won't, I will (insert laughing emoji)" then proceeds to send a text to Shezza: "Hey. Go to WF with Daniel. He really likes you, and it should be a lot of fun for you two."

I buckled my seatbelt and slumped back in my chair.
"We were cool for like 8 months, he was sweet, he bought me things, always complimented me. But in January this year, he, um... he started to um, get violent, you could say." I gulped and put a hand over my face.
"I started to think it was my fault, and I um, its easier to just show you."
I lifted up my jacket sleeve to reveal red scars. old, but still irritated and very visible.
"So, yeah. I'm not as tough as you probably thought I was. Hes in town and he wanted to see me tomorrow for god knows what reason." A tear slid down my cheek and fell off onto my arm.
