Jeremy examines the tuxedo presented to me. "Hm..." he starts off. "Any chance I could try this bad boy on?"

"Ash, would you go to the winter formal with me?"

We got up after paying the bill and started towards the door.
"Daniel, are you sure your alright? Your pretty shaken up."
I gave him a weak smile, knowing that he was in pain, and I understood. I didn't know why he was so shaken up, but I knew that I needed to be there for him if things got bad like they did for me.

He forced a smile and nodded at Shezza. "Im all right..." he paused and sighed. "Or will be, soon enough." He held the door for her and smiled, pain still in his eyes. He didnt want her to worry, she was going through enough tough stuff of her own.

I could tell that he was forcing a smile, but I wanted him to feel safe, so I didn't push the topic. Snow was gently falling on us and I stuck to my hair and slowly surrounded us in a haze of oblivion. I looked at him and noticed how icy his eyes were. Even behind all that fear and pain, there was still a glint of hope that made me feel better about him.
"Lets go. and I'll tell you about why I was crying earlier in the car, okay?"
I leaned forward and pulled him into a hug. Partly because I needed some reassurance, partly because I knew he needed some too.
