So I've recently started playing the Mother/EarthBound games
And I have to say
I'm in love with them already.
They have a great soundtrack, appealing graphics, and I just really like it.
I feel that it's a bit different from typical RPGs, which is something I really like about it.
The best part is you can take a burger out of a trashcan in EarthBound/Mother 2 and no one questions it.
Also a lot of enemies are weird and funny, especially New Age Retro Hippie.

I got to Fourside in Mother 2, but then I had to fully reset my computer and so I lost my progress.
I'm currently watching chuggaaconroy's Mother 3 lp, and then I plan to play it after I finish.
I'm totally gonna play Mother 4. From what I've seen of it, it looks really, really good. I signed up with my email with it so I get updates on it or whatever and it also said I'll get a download of the game when it comes out before other people do.
I tried playing Mother 1, but it was a tad bit too difficult. I do plan on going back to that game, though.

When I get to the end of the current playthrough I have going on the Wii U VC, I want to save the final battle for the night. Then, I'm going to convince everyone to let me turn off all the lights in the house, turn up the volume, and turn the Giygas fight into a sort of movie theater-style experience. And our TV has a huge screen and everything. This is going to be so intense. ;3;

(And this is completely off-topic, but the rubber of my 3DS' circle pad decided to pop off tonight. I've been afraid of that happening, but when it actually happened, it wasn't as serious as I thought it would be. I just popped it back on and continued fighting Cragalanche in KI:U like it never happened. xD)

You're playing the ROM? I unfortunately had to have my first MOTHER 2 play through on that too. Now I have an adapter thing for my SNES and the VC one too. You should give MOTHER 1 another shot! Why would you watch a LP before you play the game? D: That would completely ruin it for me! I've played MOTHER 3 so many times now. I'm trying to memorise all the dialogue (Mostly the important parts) so I can successfully counter anyone who tries to tell me that Lucas is actually like how they made him in SSBB. (groans) I'll seriously never forgive Sakurai for making me detest my own fandom.

My normal strategy (i guess you could call it that) for playing a game is to watch an lp first, sometimes completely or incompletely.
And then I go to play the game, so then I have a basic understanding.
That's what I did with Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess, so I guess that's just habit carrying over from my past tendencies.
(incase anyone wanted to know, i watched chuggaaconroy's Majora's Mask lp and stephenplays' stephen and mal play twlight princess lp)
Normally I forget what happens in the lp, but I can remember some of the strategies used so there's that.
But yeah that's why I sometimes watch an lp before I play a game, but that's just how I go about it, haha.

I'm really ready for Halo 2 Anniversary and I want to play it so baD. It looks pretty wicked.
