Tussock hared through the forest. His ribs poked through his skin. His pads were raw and bloody. He hasn't drank in days. Many of his old wounds where bleeding. His chest burned. I-I think I'm safe. He thought. A moment later, though, he passed through an overwhelming scent barrier. "No!" He rasped, throat dry. "N-N-Not safe!" He yowled, fur fluffing.

Jaggedstone
The tom was sitting calmly under the shade of a tree, his blue
eyes gazed around thee camp. He had to admit there was nothing much
to do right now, but it was calm and relaxing.



Wolfpaw
She was awake in the Medicine Cat's den, looking
at the herbs. She was trying to remember which one was which.

Icefang padded over to jaggedtooth and meowed "Patrol"

The little scoundrel climbed out of his nest, and wandered off. He heard yowling in the distance, and followed it. He looked up upon the white cat, Tussock. The words fell out of his mouth, eyes shining with terror. "...Scary." Then he dashed off. "Mama!!"

Stormfire watched the going-ons of camp after he'd finished grooming. His ears flickered forward to catch the conversation between Icefang and Jaggedtooth, and he wondered why Icefang was suddenly putting together patrols, but he didn't say anything. Instead, he stood and trotted off in search of Frozenstar. Once he'd found her, he mewed softly, and waited for her to finsh her thoughts before speaking. "Is there anything you need me to do? I've already gone out hunting, and the fresh-kill pile is overflowing, but I can go again."

"Stormfire, you can join the patrol with Icefang and Jaggedstone." Her ears twitch. "I think I heard something." She paused before continuing. "Prey is plentiful. You might as well patrol the borders."

Tussock collapsed to the ground. He saw a kit approach him, and quickly depart. He grunted, weakling clawing the ground. "Not safe!" He hissed through gritted teeth.

The kit decided to just carry the mouse to Frozenstar, surely she'd understand the mouse was right in front of her? It was a messy first kill. She pads off, tail hoisted in the air. "Um, FrewzunStur" She says, her small mouth full, she drops the mouse, smiling softly. "It was about to wander into camp..." she adds, hoping to not get in trouble.

Stormfire dipped his head and turned to pad over to Icefang. "I'll be joining the patrol, per instruction of Frozenstar." He informed her.

I took a small step toward Frozenstar, but stopped. I really didn't feel like bothering her. I took a piece of fresh-kill off of the pile and decided to stock up on herbs again.
