His ears prick at her movement, eyeing the water. She was indeed pretty fast to strike, but he could only hold his breath and wonder if she'd actually caught something. He'd seen bits of movement here and there, but nothing worth catching yet.

"Guess you really were telling the truth. It's such a small fish I thought it'd slipped right through your claws." He joked, eyeing a starfish. He knew for a fact almost no one would eat them unless hunting had been extremely hard for a number of days. "I think I'd rather hit a stream or the fish cove. Might be bigger kills there."

With no response, he felt like he'd said something wrong. Of course he'd been around long enough to know the leader's life hadn't been kind to him, but had greatly effected his growth and maturity. "I should leave you to it then, leaders are busy cats right?" It was more of a rhetorical question, but he felt suddenly out of place.

Splashfrost nodded picking up the fish. She walked to the small stream.

Once they reached the stream, he held high hopes for a Cichlid. They were one of the larger fresh water fish he could find, at least ones outside of the cove. Large salt water fish could feed up to three cats easy but were nearly impossible to catch. Crouching at the edge, he waits. "Hopefully I get lucky, right?"

Purpleflower smiles. "Good!" she said and nuzzles Lionfang.

Lionfang licked her cheek lovingly.

Firestar jerked back to the present world. "Hm- no, of course not. We'll wait here for Icewhisker and Nightsky. Or I can wait alone, if you'd like to take your prey back to camp."

"Are you sure the heat isn't getting to you? I could wait here while you back if that's the case." The tom could possibly be dehydrated or maybe overworked about Purpleflower's future. If he needed a break, it was his job to serve if the leader was having a hard time.
