Firestar nodded. "It seems so." he sighed. "I hope the father of Purpleflower's kits reveals himself soon. I would hate it for the poor things, it would be hard to grow up without a father."

Shakes his head a bit. "Your thinking too darkly on that, it won't be so bad if we step in as a clan to help Purpleflower and her kits. They are the future after all and I'd be more than willing to take time out of my day for them. Don't you think others would too?" A father, no, but being surrounded by cats who cared about you was just as nice.

"I suppose," he agreed. "It's more the fact of never knowing. 'Mother, why do the other cats have fathers and we don't?' How is she supposed to answer that? It would be very painful. Feeling different is hardly ever fun."

"Then it's our job to not treat them differently, I'm sure things will work out in the end." Some cats were born and abandon, he liked to think things could be a lot worse than how they were now. Purpleflower had to play her part to love them no matter what, they had to accept the kits regardless of blood. "If all goes well, they'll make fine warriors one day."

"Hopefully." he nodded. "I doubt it's the fact others would treat them with more sympathy - it would probably justbe feeling different. We'll just have to make sure they know that not having a father doesn't make them an outcast. Hopefully, regardless, someone will come out as their father. Or perhaps become Purpleflower's mate and become a foster father." He broke off with a sigh and shook his head. "I worry to much."

"I wouldn't take it too harshly, life without a father isn't as difficult as losing one at an early age. As long as their mother well, things should go smoothly." Many kits had grown with both parents and changed forever losing just one. Ravensong was that way, but he didn't say anything.

"Mhm." he looked up at the sky casually, not reveal his feelings. Not having a father had been hard. Losing his mate had been hard. Loosing his newborn kits had been hard. "Life is full of hardships, but it's worse when you're young."
