I found a natural pink sheep for the first time in minecraft, on a server.
Got a lead and lead it all the way home (long trip but I thought it was worth it).
As soon as I get home - BOOM! Creeper gets in my face when I turn a corner, killing the sheep.
RIP Mr. Fluffles. ;~;

Something similar happened to me omg I was so sad.
I was collecting all different kinds of wool and I only hade like, lime and brown left, and then I FINALLY saw a brown sheep and I led it home and when I wasn't far from it all da mobs came and I accidently hit the sheep with my sword instead of a mob .___.
It was one of those: NOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEES!-moments.

My inability to use MCEdit is making me very sad. I'm trying to put this spawn in the middle of factions world or in a plot world. The thing is, I'd rather make my own unique plot world, but I don't know how to do that either.

When I first started PC I stayed in creative mode to learn all of the controls and such. When you are more comfortable you can start survival. There is also a video on the minecraft page about how to survive your first night in minecraft. It might help

Aha, yeah, PC is really confusing if you start out using PE.

Unfortunately, I can't help much, because I'm just a beginner myself ::::3

When I started PC, I didn't know how to open a chest. *_* What sort of tips do you need though? Surviving in survival, food management, controls, building, etc?

Thank you all (: I've had about 5 nights in on minecraft PC so far as I've managed to build a house. However I can't find any food or the ingredients to make a torch so I'm slowly dying aha DX

I guess I need help with food management at the moment, and how to expolre without losing your way aha.

I'm not a Minecraft expert, but here are some basic tips;

Food:
- Try to find cows, chicken or pigs. If you do, fence them in (you can lead them with food, chickens: seeds, cows: wheat, pigs: carrots), and then breed them using the same food. Continue breeding them frequently and soon you have a good food source.
- Punch a lot of grass so you get seeds. Make a hoe and plant the seeds near water and grow some wheat. With this you can later make bread and breed cows.

Mining:
- Coal is actually pretty simple to find. I didn't think so in the beginning though xD Try to find a cave if you can, there are usually coal in the beginning of those. If you can't find a cave, just mine a staircase a few levels down and you should encounter coal at some point. But caves are your best shot~

Exploring:
- I can have quite the problem with this as well, haha. I think I know where I am and then it turns out I'm several blocks from my base. But a tip could be to put torches along the path you go so you can find your way back (Hansel & Gretel style!). But my best advice would be to write down your base's coordinates. That way you can always find your way back~

I suggest killing your player by drowning or jumping off a cliff. No, really. Everytime you die, your hunger and health is restored. But that's a desperate measure, and if you don't have a bed, it could be a problem. Instead, try these before doing that.

If you have managed to kill some spiders, make a fishing rod. It takes a while to get food, but it takes barely any hunger. Also, there's the bonus of getting 'treasure' like enchanted books. I fished on ZoZack's server and got a fortune book. If you find animals near your home, I suggest not killing them, unless there are 3 or more. You can start a chicken farm by getting seeds (punch grass) and luring some of them into a pen. Breed them and viola! Instant food. If you're on 1.8, then sheep can give you food, and rabbits if you find them.

When you have food, try to eat when you are 2-3 hunger bars down. That way, you don't waste the nurishment it can give you. Don't sprint-jump, sprint, or jump too much. Those take away a lot of hunger, and do not save time when climbing mountains by jumping off a 3+ block high cliff. Hunger is used to heal too, so avoid taking damage when possible. You can also make a farm near your house and go AFK while they're growing, so you don't use hunger running around.

You can make torches from logs. Just pop them in a furnace with wood slabs as fuel, and you get charcoal. Do the torch recipe with charcoal instead of coal, and you have torches.

Exploring w/o getting lost can be a challenge. You can leave 'landmarks' of cobble or wood in a trail. You can also push F3, and get your coordinates. Write them down and note the direction you are facing. (Although, I'm not sure that works in 1.7.10). If it doesn't show the direction, simply face the sun, and use that to find out which direction you should head to get home. Hope this helps!
