lonnie was on of the last off the bus, near one kid who was a good head taller than him, and another who barely came up to his shoulder. it was one of those classes for him in which you didn't know anyone, making field trips awkward and boring since you had no other choice that to actually listen to what was going on. he had every intention of learning something new or at the very least find something that attracted his attention long enough that the day wasn't a total waste, but it was pretty hard when you were in a group of kids you didn't care too much for, and you were in a museum. thoughts were drifting lazily through his mind as he stepped forward slowly with the rest of the group, looking around at the museum itself, and it's surroundings. with nothing to engage his attention besides the scrambling teachers and obnoxious kids he was free to daydream.

when they finally got into the building he wrapped his coat a little tighter around him. for whatever reason lonnie never liked museums or even field trips all that much in general. he preferred classrooms and textbook knowledge to going out of school, when he would lose the time that he often really liked in classes. he glanced about at some of the weird things around the room and some of the even weirder things people were wearing. many things seemed bland and just faded into the background of the walls. he gave a mostly silent sigh and let other people pass him until he was near the back of the group. he glanced around in hopes that he might have missed someone he knew, or maybe find someone that he might be able to talk to.

-- Skyler Metronome Lark;; the phoenix;; currently getting off the bus/ museum;; tagged by nobody--

Skyler- the joker, the prankster, and the fury. All the names described her and her way of beings perfectly. It was very odd for her to be sitting in the back of the bus, headphones plugged in and looking out the window with a dreamy state in her ice- blue eyes. Skyler could feel something was... off about the day, and she never understood why. She absolutely loathed the class she was stuck with for this dreaded field trip- History. Sure, she was a straight A student, but Skyler loathed the thought of History. She didn't have to learn from the old guys from the seventeen hundreds- whatever. She could make her own destiny and her own path.

The bus parked in the parking lot, and Skyler sat up with a small eyeroll. This would be a catastrophic day. She stood, unplugging one earbud and slinging her bag around her shoulder. It wasn't a fantastic bag, nothing too extraordinary. It was a dark green bag, with years of wear and tear damage around the edges. It was mainly blank, besides a bold, black feather outline on the front. Still, it was her's and she loved it. She walked off the bus, honestly caring less about what was currently happening. Skyler looked up at a statue, and busted out laughing. Nobody really could understand why she was laughing, yet she was anyway.

Alex stared out the bus window as it slowly pulled up beside the museum. The only interesting thing that had happened on the field trip so far was the second school bus getting a flat tire and causing Alex's class to be ten minutes late. When the stinky yellow bus finally stopped moving and the fly specked doors clanked open, Alex was one of the first ones off the bus. He raced down the aisle, leaped out onto the sidewalk and raced to catch up to the others. His face filled with childish glee as he passed a few exhibits then settled back to its normal, slightly joyful but uninterested expression as he realized that the group was going into the section of the museum that dealt with old dinosaur fossils. As a young boy, Alex had been completely obsessed with dinosaurs but his obsession had long since died down into nothing more than slight interest. He had read more dinosaur books than he would care to count and had wasted many weeks memorizing pointless facts about Pterosaur wing lengths and Diplodocus tail flexibility before realizing that none of those facts were truly useful, nor would they help him with his studies. Now he spent most of his time researching topics that would help further his education along with mythology from every part of the globe.

Charlie hugged her legs, feet on top of the seat and her in total rolled up into a little ball. With the odd number in the class, she was one of the only kids without a partner by their side. Usually, this would have bothered her but she had grown numb to being the outcast and scapegoat. Now, it was sort of fun and the little things she could do to manipulate the people around her with "fear" was amusing. Apparently her peers had made "rumors" about her: she spoke with her dead cat, she murdered her parents and stuffed them in a moldy bag, she kidnaps small children, don't say her name three time at midnight or she'll pop out. What were you to expect though, she was the high school weirdo - among a few boys and a foreign exchange student wallflower.

Her eyes scanned her surroundings, bitting down on the inside of her cheek. Goth, cheerleader, a rare - actually normal person, punk, nerd. "Myah," she sighed, throwing her feet down and looking up at the ceiling. Next time, she'd act like she was sick - a fever. Usually worked on her overly stressed dad, who didn't want to push his daughter. They had a strange, yet strong relationship between the two but if asked to the describe it, she'd simply shrug her shoulders. The bus came to a rolling stop and Charlotte eyed the museum, her short blonde hair popping up to press against the window. "Everyone, we're here. Get on out," she heard the teacher bark the orders and barely managed to squeeze between the two jocks that was crushing the short, delicate girl. As she landed on the ground, she swung her backpack onto her back but hit an "innocent" bystander along the way. She turned to meet another blonde with largely intense eyes and beautiful complexion though not flawless, the usual jokester with the weirdest name: Metro. It confused Charlotte, sounding like the girl was a train and she had honestly no interest in communicating with her.

Charlotte stared for a minute more before moving on, walking to the outskirts of the group and tipping her blue orbs downcast. This was going to be a challenging school trip. Yeah, next time she'll act sick for sure.

Sébastien
The Rebellious
Manticore
Sébastien was a strange character; one of the populars, but the mere oddness about his aura made him stand out, and he seemed to be the Lone Wolf within the entire group. But it was a good thing: to be able to say what you want without regret, never being truly hated, always being talked about. He did stand out, and there was no awkwardness about it, and a grin was always on his face; a mask, maybe, but he seemed happy. Happy. But right now, he was silent, staring into the faint outlines of his reflection in the glass, his eyes bouncing as the outside world shifted, never focused or concentrating on one image. He was the third friend -that was the kindest way to put it- and he had sat alone, in an environment when giggles and rumours lingered in the air. Sounds were just hush-hushed waves in the background, to him, just a little buzz. ''Hey, hey, hey,'' A boyish voice had said, as an arm hooked around his chair and a head poked up, ''I dare you, Seb, to stay behind at the end of the day.''

He had rolled his eyes, a dying smirk on his face; as a child, he was far more curious, and he was taken to a museum for a school trip, and he had found the perfect hiding spot within the sea of exhibitions, and he had camouflaged perfectly, so unstill, breathless, eager for a game of hide-and-seek. Until he had realized that he had been left behind, and that day ended teary. Never again. Schoolkids had never stopped making fun of him for his behaviours in public places.

''Or...'' He had purred, turning around to stare at the smug faces, ''I could steal the museum's newest exhibition,.'' That caused howls of laughter, and he sunk back into his chair, a dark grin on his face, fading away slowly as he returned to the window's gaze. Let them laugh, and all eyes will be off you.

As the bus slowed down and the museum towered over the bus, he had unbuckled his belt, immediately standing up, quickly swinging his backpack over one shoulder. He had stepped out into the open, staring up at the marble stone walls, those lions perched on pillars, carefully carved into the stone by experienced hands. A low gasp rolled off his tongue as he blinked, in awe, his neck tilted back. “This is gonna be fun,” He chuckled darkly, striding through the gaping mahogany doors.

Carter was lucky enough to have been seated near the front of the bus. Throughout the ride, he had been flirting with a pair of sophomore girls that had been lucky enough to get a seat near him. They had seemed amazed that a senior was talking to them. Especially one of the so called jocks. Carter had been bored though and even if they were a little reluctant to talk, it had been more fun than staring out the window. Or listening to the other conversations around him. He hadn't been lucky enough to go on this trip with anyone he talked to on a daily basis. Maybe he could find someone to talk to for today only, he thought as he clamored off the bus. He could have easily been the first one off but, some others seemed more eager to get off first. Once off the bus, he weaved his way through the crowd attempting to find someone here that he knew while acting like he wasn't wandering along aimlessly. Carter briefly caught a glimpse of Metro, the Joker that was a few years younger than him, and Charlotte, the mysterious wallflower of the school. One of the current rumors stated that she was a witch that could turn anyone into ice. He had a feeling that the rumor was a byproduct of a staying up too late and watching Frozen on repeat. Finally he spotted someone he knew at least a tiny bit. Sébastien. The class rebel and perhaps better known as Whiteboard throughout the school. Carter had him in a few classes. They didn't sit together although they had been forced to work together a time or two the past few years. Weaving his way through the crowd, he entered the museum and barely glanced around. He had been here a year or two ago with his Uncle. It wasn't anything spectacular.

I began to walk with the group as we were lead into the exhibits of the museum, on the edge of the group of kids, distracted by the different exhibits. I wasn't really bothered by coming to a museum but I knew that some people were and that they may end up causing trouble. My attention was drawn by a kid well known for his trouble making, Sébastien, he was often pushed forwards by a crowd of people interested in seeing what trouble he could cause. I rolled my eyes as he and a group of kids followed behind, laughing and just generally being rather loud. The first place that we were lead into was the archaeology/paleontology exhibit, rather small but much of the stuff which was shown was found nearby. The tour guide stopped and with her so did the entire group. She talked about some of the exhibits and I only faintly listened. Normally all my attention would have been drawn in, yet not today. Something was distracting me, what I didn't know.
"Now you kids can have a look around the different displays in this part of the museum just don't touch anything and don't leave this part of the exhibit without an adult." The tour guide said to the group.
I rolled my eyes, as if all of these kids actually needed an adult to look after them, actually most probably did need to be supervised. I began to walk around some of the exhibits, reading some of the notes underneath them. One exhibit, however, particularly caught my attention, a display of eight egg like objects which were discovered just outside of town about a month ago. The looked like smoothly polished marble and shone with a kind of eerie glow. Each of them looked different from the rest, one in particular caught my eye, one which was a deep slate blue-gray, it was beautiful, in fact they all were. I read the note underneath, These object were discovered just outside of town and as of now we are unable to determine what these objects actually are. They are too smooth and perfect to be prehistoric or fossilized eggs so for now the best guess is that they are ceremonial burial objects. So even the museum didn't know what they were, I guess that my plan of asking about them went out of the window.

Metro turned her head to see the backpack swing into her. She backed up a pace, re-balancing herself, before narrowing her eyes. "Oi! Watch where you're going, yeah?" She crossed her arms, before jogging in through the big doors. She looked around at all the students, who rushed around in a blur of color. She glanced at a sign, as a lady in a light blue tour vest came up. It was talking about a new attraction- Eggs.

Metro bit her lip to try and contain her laughter. Eggs. So spectacular. Wow. She chuckled a bit to herself, as the tour guide introduced herself to her group as Kade Windson. It sounded like a McDonalds worker. 'Hello, I am Kade Windson. May I take your order?'. Metro tucked her headphones in her pocket, as she watched the worker. Her dark russet hair shone in the light, dark brown eyes sparkling with the dull lack of boredom. Metro twisted a strand of her own brunette hair around a finger. Maybe she should dye it russet? Hm. Decisions, Decisions.

The first place the tour guide was going to show them was the Caveman era. At least it wasn't that Founding Father's stuff. Metro loathed the day where she had to start learning about it. As the group walked, they noticed a crowd in front of the glass 'Caveman' case. She saw a semi-familiar face in the group. She almost knew nobody, so a name never came to mind. "Oh, Well. We can come to that later. Let's start out at the Revolutionary War era, yeah?"

Oh God, No.
