Within the world of Pokémon, humans with the ability to change their form have cropped up in the recent years. Like the legendary Pokémon Mew, these humans, nicknamed Deviants could shapeshift into one Pokémon, often their partner or the first creature they established a true connection with. As time passed, an irregularity was noticed, not only are these humans able to become a Pokémon, but that Pokémon's physical aspects manifested themselves in the Deviant's two-legged form. Like their shifted form, Deviants possessed 'moves', which had an extreme similarity towards their Pokémon's abilities.

However, it has recently come to attention that these special humans are disappearing, and their kind have become the minority. Now looked down upon, many Deviants have gone into hiding, doing whatever they can to obscure the special abilities they have. After all, they don't want to become the next face on the milk cartoon.

You are a Deviant. Otherwise known as a Pokehuman, you are aware of two choices. To stay where you are, and hope that you are not snatched in the dead of the night, or to run, hide from whatever force is stealing away those who are different. You and your partner, the Pokemon who you first bonded with, are afraid. After all, you never know what lurks around the corner. Locals are untrustworthy, as you are unaware of where their allegiances lay, and with every minute you fumble the mysterious organization is closing in. All is not lost, however, as through the tangle of voices it has been brought to your attention that there is a sanctuary. Somewhere out there is a safe place for Deviants, people just like yourself. And now, you just have to find it.

You are a human. Perhaps you're a trainer, one of the numerous children who have started their journey at eleven and have furthered those careers to the point where they are today. Perhaps your a breeder, or an elite, or either the champion, but either way - you are a human. Maybe you resent them, for having something that you do not, or possibly it is pity pressuring you brain, as you feel a compassion for those who do not return.

I I do expect some literacy for this roleplay. Three lines, or two sentences per post, with understandable grammar. Text-talk is not permitted. I do understand writer's block, however that hand affliction should not come about every post you make.

IIIV By no means should you powerplay, metagame, or godmod. While the characters do have powers, they are not gods. If your character is attacking someone elses, please give them time to make a response. Likewise, your character can not dodge every single attack, or get out of an attack unscatched unless asked otherwise. For confusing situations, feel free to personally message me, and I'll do my best to clear it up.
V Respect all users participating in this roleplay. Please do not start ooc[out of character] brawls, and do not mock someone for being different than yourself. We are an open roleplay community, who accept all genders, sexualities, and religions.
VI If something becomes too deep, or graphic, please fade to black. This is a children's site, after all.
VII Do not go more than five pages without me. Doing so will first register you a warning, and then a temporary ban. If a fellow user asks for a recap, please provide them with one. While I will do my best to keep the front page updated, I do have my faults, and can not be on for all hours of the day.
VIII If you will be inactive, or away from the computer, please let me know beforehand. If it's unexpected, that's fine too, as I understand you may not have the time to inform me of your absence.

Pokehumans, otherwise known as Deviants are humans who have the ability to shift into a singular pokemon form, as well as manifest physical traits of that Pokemon when they are in human form. All Deviants have basic telepathy, as well as a passive ability and four moves. There can only be one Deviant per Pokemon at one time, meaning there can't be two mews, or two lucario. They have a partner pokemon, in which they first bonded with. The two share an incredibly strong connection, and when together their powers are amplified.

In addition, for Deviants with family bloodlines, it is often the eldest-born child inherits the last evolution of a pokemon once the carrier passes. [ ex; A family has three children. The mother is a Pikachu Deviant, with an older brother [Raichu], and a younger sister [sister]. Neither of the two have children, and have passed, which leaves her eldest son to inherit Raichu, while her youngest is Pichu. As she has yet to die, her middleborn will show no traits of Pikachu until the mother dies. ]

For some reason, the average lifespan of a Deviant is twenty-five to thirty years, as each die of some unknown cause once they come of age.

Powers

+Telepathy

In both human and pokemon form, Deviants have the ability to communicate with each other, as well as they partner. This telepathically is limited, however, as they must resort to 'pushing' thoughts in order to commune. With this, Pokehumans are unable to read, or control the minds of others unless it is the specific ability of their Deviant form. Their targets must reply verbally, unless it's a fellow Deviant or Pokemon.
+Passive Ability

A passive ability is a non-harmful ability each Deviant possesses, often varying, though with some relation towards their Pokemon. Unlike attacks, these abilities can only effect a singular person. For some, this is a heightened physical aspect{speed, jump, sight}, but for others it is something different entirely. There is no short supply of these powers, as different Deviants can have the same passive.
+Form-shifting

As stated, Deviants have the ability to shapeshift into the form of those they first made a connection with. In Pokemon form, the only thing that shows that they are different than a normal creature is the unlikely intelligence visible in their eyes. Incredibly hard to detect, it seems one must have a sixth sense in order to tell the difference. A rare gift indeed.
+Moves

Each Pokehuman has four moves, each of which posses a remarkable likeliness to superpowers. They of course, have their own weaknesses in turn. All four moves must have a relatable affinity towards the Pokemon's moveset. [ When choosing these abilities, please remember that you can only have ONE manipulation. Everything else must be minuscule. ]

No one knows what it is. But city of Virie, in the Region Leren holds a quarter of the Deviant population, studies show, hidden among the throes of the normal trainers. Perhaps it's the rolling masses that attract these particular folk, or the way one can easily hide between such tall establishments. Either way, there are many Pokehumans, and the mysterious organizations that hunts them is closing in.

It is said information lies somewhere within, whether it be in the form of a message, or words. Important information, rumored to be the location of the sanctuary. However, only a select few are aware of this data, and even fewer have chosen to hide it deep within their minds, lest the organization suckle it from their tainted lips.

It is here your story begins. As most of you are aware, you are not alone in this massive city, and you might stand a chance if you found those like you. But this certainly isn't an easy task. After all, you're the minority here, and some mysterious wackos are always on the lookout for Deviants.

1. Am I required to make a Pokemon form for every Pokemon my trainer has? No, no of course not. You are only required to make a pokemon form for your Partner Pokemon.
2. What region is this roleplay based in? Think of this as an, uh, mixed up region. We'll be creating our locations from scratch, rather than pulling them from previous regions.
