Gingerpaw ran from the beach to camp, shaking out water as he ran "hi blitz paw!" He called as he ran past the apprentice and mentor. "It's around here somewhere..." He snuffled the ground around a big boulder and soon pawed up a large trout and a crab that he had caught that morning before running the rest if the way to camp.

Clifftail let out another sigh of annoyance before responding, "Let's bring Pebblepaw." he grumbled.

Gingerpaw flashed by Blitzpaw and called "Hi Blitzpaw!" Blitzpaw opened her mouth to reply, but Gingerpaw was racing away from her. "What are you doing??" She asked.

"I don't know but I feel like running!" Gingerpaw stopped to talk to Blitzpaw "you want to come?"

"Sorry, Gingerpaw, but we're training right now." Salmonfall replied. "You can join us if you ask your mentor"

"I'm not sure where Eaglefeather is right now so can I just join you?" He had caught his breath and looked around at them training.

"Sure, but if he comes looking you'll have to go, since he's your mentor." Salmonfall explained.

"That's fine!" Gingerpaw jumped up and down a bit to warm up from the cool morning air.

"Indeed." Maplestripe nodded. She gave her shoulder fur a quick lick to try and alleviate the quietness that have fallen over their conversation. She stared at the edge of the camp for a while before a rustle in the bushes gave her an idea. "Would you like to go on a hunting patrol with me?" She inquired. "And other cats, too." She added quickly, feeling her cheeks turn a little red.
