Nightpaw and Onepaw woke Quickpaw and went to sit near one another for the clan meeting, shocked to see a fox in the camp.

Hollyfrost, too, was startled, but more relaxed. Thorntail questioningly gazed at the cat and fox.

Key and Lock gulped and exchanged a look, then padded forward hesitantly.

"And they will be training as apprentices,"she continued. "Key, from this day forward you will be known as Keypaw. Your mentor will be Bluetail,"Firestar meowed. Then, she turned to Lock. "Lock, from this day forward you will be known as Lockpaw. Your mentor will be Darkshade,"she finishes, then looks at Bluetail and Morningstream.

Keypaw looked at Lockpaw, the fox looking right back at him. "Why name change?" Lockpaw asked, looking at Firestar.

"Eep! The fox talks!" Nightpaw squeaked, Quickpaw batting her muzzle lightly. "Be quiet."

Darkshade looked at Lock. "We'll thats cause we do that. Paw means your apprentices and once you get your warrior name and it could bee anything." He got up, "Lock tomorrow I'm gonna show you our border's and start training."
