[The Sea]

'It is. Hopefully we'll play soon." Ava said, picking at the white tablecloth.

[~Guenivere's Song~]

Ryanne nods her head in agreement. A couple people walk up to the table and sit down. They glare at Ryanne, but she glares back. The ferret growls at them as well.

[The Sea]

Ava fell silent as the others campers took a seat, her fingers began to drum anxiously against her thigh. After about a minute of tense silence from her while the other campers began to talk, she stood up abruptly, her leg sending a tremor through the table. "Uh, I'm going to go down to the arena, you can come if you want." She muttered quickly, turning around and heading down the hill.

One kids smirks as another snickered. Ryanne glare at them one last time before getting up and following Ava to the arena. She wanted to ask who those kids were, but she decided not to push her. The ferret squeaked from her shoulder and tightened his grip as Ryanne ran to catch up.

[The Sea]

Ava's breathing slowed the closer she got to the arena, and the knot in her chest slowly deflated. Her hands still shook slightly as she entered the arena, her feet thudding over the hard packed earth. Unbuckling her sword belt, she laid it gently against the weapons rack, grabbing two wooden practice swords. Holding one out to Ryanne hilt first, her face was much calmer, features slack.

Ryanne grabs hold on the wooden sword. The ferret jumps down off her shoulder and climbs up a dummy, resting on it's head. "So what first?" She askes, tossing the sword back and forth in her hands.

[The Sea]

Ava smiled lopsidedly, her teeth glinting between her teeth. "This." She lunged forward, her sword swinging on a course towards Ryanne's chest.

Ryanne sidesteps and thrusts forward for Ava's ribcage.

[The Sea]

Ava sidestepped, but not quite fast enough. The wooden sword grazed her side, causing her to draw in a sharp breath. That would leave a nasty bruise, that was for sure. Lips drawing into a tight line, she sent a flurry of blows at Ryanne. They were sloppy, lacking control, but making up for it in power.

Ryanne blocked most of her blows. She ducked under one of her swings, sidestepped behind her, and hit her in the back.
