Whisperpaw popped out of the apprentices den as the newcomers came into camp. Fox! He thought.

Firestar looked at Riverpelt, as she showed no sign of fear or danger. Firestar padded calmly to her.

"They're going to join,"she mewed swiftly before the leader could judge.

"A fox? Are you sure?" She asked her sternly.

"Yeah, lots of cats," Key agreed. The number of scents was daunting to him. He looked at Firestar and hesitantly spoke up. "He won't hurt anyone..."

"Come, let's go search for some goldenrod." Lilyeyes pciked up the clump of herbs she collected and weaved through the trees, waving to Bloompaw.
