The tom nodded offering a momentary purr for the deputy before his attention was caught by his mentor that arrived with yet another member. "Looks like we really did turn into some kind of hunting party." He mewed tilting his head to the side for a moment then pushing himself up to his paws, looking between Tigerfoot and Shyshadow, waiting for one of them to make a move so they could go hunt that catnip down X3.

Mistpetal nodded her head slightly to confirm what Shyshadow had said, though the action wasn't really necessary. She hadn't ever really spoken to Deadpaw much, though she had heard about him, and part of her was curious to find out what sort of cat he was. Anyway, that could wait..

Shyshadow purred in amusement. "A hunting party, huh?" His tail swished, an ear flicking. "Well, we should get going now," he stated, picking up the bundle of dead catmint once more and motioning for the others to follow as he started trotting towards the exit.

Mistpetal hesitated momentarily before beginning to trot off, following Shyshadow but keeping her distance; she didn't want to distract him or anything. She had absolutely no clue why the cat was brining along a bundle of dead catmint, because surely it was useless now? She shook away her confusion, deciding he knew what he was doing.

The handsome brown tom stood up from the fresh-kill pile, giving his fur a quick lick. He gazed around camp, watching the cats as they did their duties. He yawned and padded towards the forest, but turned around before entering. "Anyone want to come hunting with me?" He called to camp, hoping for a patrol.

Kestrelflight

The ginger tabby she-cat sat near the warrior's den, observing the clan as they padded around camp, chatting obsolotely or bringing in prey for the fresh-kill pile. Kestrelflight was grateful that leaf-bare was over, and new-leaf was here. Perhaps with it would bring warmer weather, fuller bellies, and happier moods. That's all she wanted for her clan.

Her ears pricked as she heard Fallstar. She admired the tom; he was the most powerful cat in the clan, and she had to admit, she would like to have all that power one day. Giving her chest fur a few quick licks to make sure she looked nice, she padded over to her leader. "I wouldn't mind a nice hunt," she mewed, dipping her head as she offered her assistance.

The elderly tom lied down in front of the elder's den, his belly in the air as he sunned himself. He was enjoying the sun, much more than he had enjoyed it in the leaf-bare. The moss was still damp in his den from the snow and cold weather, and he decided that he would ask the apprentices to come and change it to dry bedding later on in the day, when they finished with their training for their day. He didn't want to be a bother.

He smiled as the pretty she-cat padded over to him. "Okay. I guess no one else is going to join us." He glanced around camp for a moment, then back at Kestrelflight with a smile. "Let's go." He trotted towards the entrance, his handsome light brown fur glowing gold in the sunlight. He turned his head, waiting for Kesterlflight to accompany him, before entering the forest.
