Matt tucked her in and sat on the edge of the bed. He just stared at the ground

Miranda walked in a few minutes later and sat next to Matt.

Matt walked outside and just punched a tree. He muttered things under his breath

Miranda grabbed his arm, "Matt calm down." She said quietly, "please…"

"I always seem to mess things up" He muttered yanking his hand away "Its my fault Fern;s dead its my fault Katy is having some problems its my fault our family cant even stand to be in one room with each other!" he kicked the tree again

"No it's not! I talked to Fern before she died… she said that she couldn't live with herself and everything that she's done. Maybe the shadows are just trying to tell her something important. And it's all out faults that we can't stand each other anymore!" She trembled and cried.
