Once Upon A Time...

There was a dragon...
As old as time and wise as well.
He travelled to many lands...
He made many friends along the way.
He saw many things.
He met many he would never forget.
He figured that maybe...
However for once, the dragon was wrong.
So instead he carried their memories on his shoulders and in his heart,
and chose to instead go out and experience new things each day.
So they would never truly vanish, but live on in his heart forever.

It was said only the manliest of dragons wear bows- so Igneel got to try one on in a stream I started up- and it was simply too funny to pass up. Further little humorous pieces may be put here as I think of them or if they come up- but I feel like perhaps a little joke is in line, since you've survived my form this far.

Is he prideful or humble about his place in the universe? - teleport
While he thinks he's just an archivist in the grand scheme of things he also thinks he's better than any land animal that withers away over the course of history while he remains- so quite honestly it's a balance of the two.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go? - Ravendarus
"Well I've been everywhere in the world, actually. Throughout every different era. However if I could go back to one place in particular from the human era, so you interviewers would understand a bit better, I'd probably say the times of the Renaissance. There were so many mythos, lots of creativity and expansion- I feel it was a beautiful era of human history."

What's his biggest fear? - teleport
Believe it or not Igneel's biggest fear is large bodies of water. While his immortality grants him safe pass from death- having his flames extinguished or tampered with my water is still incredibly painful. He absolutely detests water in any form but bottled or in a cup- especially lakes, oceans, rivers and the like.

Why does Igneel screech when he gets angry or frustrated? - Anonymous
For quite some time modern human language wasn't a factor of Igneel's life. Human beings have only been on the planet a short time, so for a while he didn't even know what words were. He more or less had his own language, consisting of screeches, whimpers and barks- that general thing. His language melded into a hodgepodge of the living things around him and eventually he became able to mimic other languages and learn them through said mimicry. Screeching was part of his initial language and different frequencies of screech were all frustrated or angry words.

Could he be killed through means other than the end of the universe? - teleport
He doesn't know and he certainly doesn't want to find out. However he figures if anything would do him in it'd be drowning or prolonged submersion in water. However factually, yes- Igneel is a mortal creature despite his belief. He can be killed by normal means, but is completely unaware of this fact. Despite this he is incredibly conservative where risk is concerned, and fears death more than any supposed immortal should. He has his doubts and he commonly plays safe in contrast to sorry.

You have a chance to utter your final words, what would they be? - Ravendarus
"I've never really considered my final words, however if I had to choose the last words I'd ever say… Either "Now comes the mystery." In the words of Henry Ward Beecher an evangelist who died March 8, 1887, or perhaps "Friends applaud, the comedy is finished." In the words of Ludwig van Beethoven a composer who passed March 26, 1827. There are many fine selections of memorable and meaningful last words- but truth be told my last words wouldn't be a reference, a historical lecture, a witty remark or any variety of joke. They'd be the words that came from my heart and bubbled out- the ones that had to be said right then and there. And there's no planning for that."

Does he believe he will ever die or does he think he will continue to exist for eternity? - teleport
Igneel isn't quite sure what he believes as far as his life expectancy goes. He figures he'll die, if he ever does, when the world comes to an end- seeing as he's an archivist of the planet. Once it dies out for good- his job will be complete and there'd be no real use for him anymore.

"Surely someone so old must have made many friends."

It goes without saying that Igneel has met many fine friends throughout his long life, and he holds each one incredibly dear. You'd think after seeing so many come and go he'd become cut off from them to spare himself the heart ache, or dull to the ache of having someone taken away- but that's not the case at all. Igneel has only love and admiration for his friends- despite his desire to save himself the pain of loosing someone, he can't help but continue to go out of his way and meet more plumerians to tell his stories too. He cares so deeply for each and every one of them, thus his typical cemetery visits. He sits and talks with each and every one, giving them each a flower. Igneel takes care to get to know the families of those he knew when alive, and carries on sharing their stories and memories. If you'll recall the hoard Igneel keeps- it consists of momentos and souvineers from his various friends, so he'll never forget them. Igneel has made a vow to himself that he won't simply cower away from social interaction and bonds just because he's afraid for his own sake, but to go out and meet more plumerians to share the memories and stories of those who would otherwise be forgotten in the fabric of time. Igneel keeps the memories close to his heart so he'll never forget them- and so those who passed on will never truly die, but live on forever inside his heart.

What I'd Do With Him
I'd use him and be active in the plumerian community like I am with my current Plumerian Thylacine- who I've been giving plenty of love and appreciation even with this competition going on. I would role-play with him to further develop his personality and I'd continue to order art of him as I have all this time. I would continue to develop Igneel, and overall just be active and a good home for him. I would make him seen and advertise the species further by making others aware of them. He would be as important to me later on as he is to me write now as I've compiled this form for your viewing amusement and I wouldn't let him be forgotten or ignored. He'd have a good home, and I'd continue to value him and love him just like I have for this long period of wait in which I wrote this form. I wouldn't let him be forgotten- I wouldn't let him become inactive- I would allow Igneel to live and go on roleplaying, getting more art and becoming a fully developed character. I'd treat him like I do Thylacine- he'd be as precious to me as he is now and he always will be.

Generally I wouldn't do this sort of thing- but so many of you lovely people supported me and were kind to me- giving me art, critique and feedback. I owe you all a genuine thanks because my form wouldn't be what it is without all of your wonderful contributions. All of your hard work and love means so much to me- wording it like this just doesn't seem accurate. But I just wanted to give a special shout to to all of my wonderful artists and friends for supporting me and just egging me on even when I felt like I hadn't got a chance. You're all magnificent! Good luck to all of the other entries as well, and again- thank you so much to all of you, and my lovely judge or judges for taking the time to read this form.
