Striders are docile, flightless creatures that are often used for transport. There are two known Strider species, one common in forested areas and are distinguished with a crest of feathers, and two claws. The other is smaller, and stockier in build, and is found in mountains, and colder regions. They are distinguished by having a furry mane, and three claws. Nobody knows the origin of these creatures, but they don't seem to mind people much. Often times they can be found with horns, and it's not an uncommon thing. They are sometimes kept as pets, used for riding, or labor. They don't seem to mind lending a hand.

Height wise, compared to a human could also be comparable to a horse. The feathered, forest Strider is taller, and leaner built, with smaller hooves more like a deers, compared to the Mountain, maned Strider who is shorter and stockier in build, with larger hooves comparable to a ram's.

It's not uncommon to find a Strider with horns. They can range from small, nubby horns, to curling ram horns. The only thing that is RARE to see for a Strider is antlers. Although they can have them, it's a rare sight to see. with their long neck, they find themselves weighed down and caught in many things by the branching antlers, making it hard for them to make it in the wild. Because of their rarity, the antlered Striders have been hunted out for that prize. It's not uncommon for a Strider to have no horns at all! smaller, and no horns are often seen in the females, while the males have larger horns. It's not uncommon for that to switch either!

The love life of a Strider is still in study. We don't know much about how they breed, but we have found nests and egg shells before. It's thought that most mate for life, but nothing's wrong with a one night stand, yeah? They take turns looking over the nest, and they both seem to bring up young. Strider's don't seem to have a full grasp on gender, and don't seem to care who they end up with, as long as there is attraction between the two of them.
