He stared at her, is mouth open slightly, trying to provide an answer. W-Will I father them...? He clenched his fangs as he remembered not having a father. Being raised by just a mother, having being teased... "U-Um..." Then again, Brindlepaw...

Her eyes glazed over sorrowfully, "I don't want my kits to not have a father. You know very well how that feels..."

Foxtuft winced, his muscles tightening. Without replying, the tom growled lowly, turning and walking slowly to the entrance to the camp, his fur fluffed up.

Sandcloud sighed, looking down at her paws, "You're such a loud-mouth, Sandcloud..."

His paws shook as he walked, and the tom stumbled slightly. "You have no... idea..." He grumbled lowly, his eyes closing tightly. "How much a father can mean when you lose him." He whispered, then he sighed. "I wonder if he ever thinks about mother." Foxtuft looked up at the pale sunset, his eyes clouding. "Scarletwind... are you watching?" He asked with a smile, his voice cracking. He laughed a little. "No, you don't care." He looked back down, a small toothy grin flashing over his simple smile.

She sat there silently, until panic starting fluttering in her chest as the fact that she was expecting kits set in her mind.

"What're you so worried about?" Mottledstone's voice suddenly appeared, the silent old she-cat's gaze resting upon her.

"Why do tom's have to make things to complicated?" She mewed, her voice trembling with anger and sadness.
