((Erica, accepted!! Good to see you again! I have a free character for you if you want, or if you'd like to join up with a group that's fine too.))
Ixion...
Ixion and Mikael both stared quite blankly at Lance. His mouth was moving so he must be under the impression that either if not both of them could hear him, even though that was nowhere near the case. Ixion tapped Lance on the shoulder and pointed at his ear and then the side of Mikael's head before shaking his head, trying to communicate he had no idea how to understand what the man was saying. Mikael, seeing the issue, turned around and climbed into his casket yet again, but keeping the door slightly open this time, just enough shut to where the magic would stop flowing between the two. "I can't hear you when he's outside of his box. What you say?"
Roxanne...
Roxy groaned. "Stupid freakin' hellhounds come burn down my favorite shed and now he's giving me a cerberus for crying out loud this is just ridiculous. I swear when I get my hands on that stupid suit-wearing piece of crap son of a..." The ranting continued and started to crescendo as Roxanne walked towards the rumbling forest. When the Cerberus crashed through the trees and started to barrel towards her she matched the volume of her cursing to the monstrosity's thundering footsteps. "GOOD FOR NOTHING DIRTY SCUM!" With her final chant of fury the girl's vents exploded into action, spinning her shoulder and causing the throw of her first axe to fly with such tremendous speed the whirring of the axe through the air was degraded into a heavy hum before it sank into the beast's far left head. In the very next instant her vents pushed her the opposite way, giving her a backhanded toss of the other axe into the monster's far right head, which was then enough to effectively stall its raging charge. While the beast still stood, Roxy was now unarmed. It was close enough to move for a strike and threw out one of its massive paws. The paw was fast, and moved at a speed to where it looked like it would've struck her, but at the last second she was out of reach, blasted to safety by her armor. Turning back to Matt, her eyes were ablaze and with another boost she crossed the clearing in under a second. She stopped as though she'd never started moving to begin with, only a few inches from Matt himself. "I need to borrow this." she said, gently stealing away the dagger he had before rotating with the same precision and speed as before. There was a swoosh of wind, and the Cerberus went down, the dagger lodged firmly in its forehead. "I swear, I'm gonna pop a blood vessel if I keep working myself up like that." she sighed, letting herself calm down from her temper tantrum. For her, this was just a typical day still.
A lone rook sits poised at the edge of a cliff, sword drawn, eyes open. Against him, an army, its size near unfathomable. The rook smiles.
If only it were a fair fight.
