`♚. adderfang [npc]

Adderfang is a sixty four moon old cat
of StoneClan. She is the mother of Ti-
gerstep and Mousepaw, and mate of
Bramblepelt, now deceased. Adderfa-
ng retired at the age of fifty moons
due to her failing senses, and now li-
ves happily as an elder of StoneClan.
Adderfang is characterized by her m-
otherly personality and know-it-all
attitude. It's a little creepy, honestly,
just how much Adderfang knows with-
out necessarily being told something.
She is upbeat and cheery and adores
kits and apprentices. In fact, she is
famed for her storytelling abilities a-
nd often tells stories about the Clan's
intimidating, uncouth medicine cat.
Adderfang is pretty open minded, m-
aking her an ideal cat to talk during
times of trouble. She is always will-
ing to help, even as an elder, and is
always looking forward to pass on h-
er knowledge to the younger gener-
ation. She is, perhaps, perfectly ch-
aracterized as being described as
an elder at first glance, but a young
warrior at heart.

Snakefang & Doveflight [npcs]

Postby Fiorre » Sun Nov 09, 2014 2:51 pm

Doveflight

Image

Basic Info
Name: Doveflight
Gender: Female
Age: 58 moons old
Clan: Stoneclan
Rank: Elder
Mate: Snakefang
Kits: Crookedtail,
Shortwhisker
Kin: Stated above

History

Dovekit had never liked staying still. She was constantly getting under other cat's paws and trying to do apprentice duties as soon as she was allowed out of the nursery. However, she always took orders seriously. She never tried to sneak out of camp and did her best to learn the warrior code. She even managed to train with one of her denmates, Snakekit, although he was much bigger than she.

After becoming an apprentice, Dovepaw pushed herself past every and all limits to be the best warrior she could. Nothing was more important than her duty to the clan. She dreamed of being leader once, but that dream slowly faded away as she grew closer and closer to Snakepaw. They trained together whenever they could, although she gave Snakepaw a nice nick to the ear when he teased her more than necessary. She had been scolded for that by her mentor, but Snakepaw didn't hold a grudge.

When the day came for Dovepaw to finally be a warrior, Snakefang was proud of her, along with many other clanmates. She soon became Doveflight, and she took her warrior duties seriously. Every task was meant to be done in the most perfect way. She was a good warrior--and she wasn't afraid to say so. Doveflight admired her clanmates, and she didn't hold back compliments when she found them fit.

It wasn't long 'til Doveflight and Snakefang were mates, and before long they were blessed with two kits, Shortkit and Fogkit. Doveflight loved her kits very much, although she constantly scolded them for trying to leave the camp. Just because she loved her kits, didn't mean they didn't have to follow the warrior code. The Queen feared that if she stayed too long in the nursery with her kits, the clan would start to miss her. She was, after all, a good warrior, so they surely needed her around. The simple thought that some of them might think she was avoiding her duties made her pelt bristle with anger. As soon as she could, when her kits were already eating fresh-kill, she moved back to the warriors den and began her warrior duties once more.

Fogkit's accident had left Doveflight horrified, although, at the same time, she constantly had warned both Fogkit and Shortkit to stop leaving the camp. She asked Leafstar to rename Fogkit to Crookedkit, since her tail was now permanently crooked. Thankfully, Doveflight was able to relax when her kits were apprenticed, and their responsibility was now passed on to their mentors. Peace had come... for the most part.

Doveflight went on with her warrior duties just as other cats had. When she could, she would spend time with her mate, Snakefang, and occasionally talk over clan news and the mousebrained apprentices(yes, even her own kits were mousebrains). After many seasons, Doveflight had retired to the elder's den when her hearing wasn't as good as it used to be.

Brief Personality

Doveflight is currently one VERY cranky elder. She doesn't mean harm, but given she can't exactly hear well, her pelt is full of ticks and fleas, and apprentices seem to deliberately avoid cleaning out her den; she can be entitled to being cranky. No one is as good as a warrior as she used to be. When she was a warrior, the current problem at hand would have already been solved--at least, that's what Doveflight believes. Doveflight enjoys spending her time out sunning, while complaining about not enough freshkill, not enough this, not enough that. She pays constant visits to the medicine cat's den to get something for her slightly achy joints.

Snakefang

Image

Basic Info
Name: Snakefang
Gender: Male
Age: 61 moons old
Clan: Stoneclan
Rank: Elder
Mate: Doveflight
Kits: Crookedtail,
Shortwhisker
Kin: Stated above

History

Snakekit was a bit of an oddball as a kit. For the longest time, he was unable to say his own name properly. He had a habit of saying 'Snake' and then 'Kit' afterwards as if they were separate words. Thankfully, with a little bit of Dovekit's help, the tom was able to say his name a bit before he was five moons old. Despite being 3 moons older than Dovekit, he enjoyed her company and adored the attention she would give him when he tried to show off. He loved the praise, basking in it as if it were sunlight.

Unfortunately, his apprentice ceremony was delayed by a few days given a somewhat bad paw sprain, but that didn't hold back the young tom-cat. Snakepaw was especially happy when Dovepaw became an apprentice, since they would be able to be denmates once more. It was tiring to try and teach her apprentice things, so this made things easier. Snakepaw was also occasionally a bit lazy and laid-back, but he knew it was important to train and be a good warrior. He seemed to find himself in the medicine cat den often. He probably shouldn't have gone swimming late at night as often as he did. And the nick to his ear could've been avoided if he hadn't teased Dovepaw so much that one time; she sure nicked his ear good. Thankfully, he didn't hold a grudge.

The day Snakepaw became Snakefang was definitely one of the most happiest in his life. He could never forget the silence of the night as guarded the camp. Everything was still... it seemed as if all of the clan's safety rested on his shoulder--and it did, of course! Snakepaw was going to be the best that he could be. During the vigil, he would occasionally cast a glance towards the apprentice's den, wishing that Dovepaw would join him soon in the warrior's den. The young tom had a soft spot for the she-cat, and a many clanmates seemed to know that.

When the time came for Dovepaw to be a warrior, Snakefang couldn't have been more proud. He had always admired Dovepaw for all her hard work. She wanted to be the best warrior she could be, and Snakefang constantly encouraged her to live up to her potential, as he did for all of his clanmates.

Now that Dovepaw was Doveflight, Snakefang took the opportunity to express his feelings and before long they were mates. It seemed like time had flied by before they found out that Doveflight was pregnant with kits. Snakefang was seen constantly worrying about Doveflight and mooning over her comfort and safety, insisting she move to the nursery as soon as she felt was needed.

It was a bright, warm day during greenleaf when the kits arrived, and Snakefang was bursting with joy for the kits. He did his best to be a good father, and at times was teased by his clanmates for seeming more like a queen than the actual mother of his kits. There was no denying that Doveflight was a good parent, and the clan was always helpful with the kits, but Snakefang partly wished that Doveflight was like a normal queen; one that would put the kits above everything. If that were the case, he wouldn't need to worry so much. The kits seemed to always be running out of camp when he wasn't looking.

Then it happened. A dog had been spotted on Stoneclan territory when the kits were roughly 3 moons old. Snakefang was worried, but a patrol had left to go and chase the dog away. Doveflight was among the warriors sent off to defend their territory, and Snakefang wasn't hesitant to wish her luck before she left. After making sure the kits were safe, Snakefang had left to go refill the fresh-kill pile, having noticed that is was almost empty. His kits still hadn't tried fish, so he wanted to get some for them.

Upon returning to camp, Snakefang realized the kits were missing. He quickly dropped the trout he had caught into the pile and gathered a fellow warrior to find the kits. It wasn't hard, given they were able to follow a scent trail, but by the time they found the kits, they realized another dog was on Stoneclan territory, and it had Fogkit by the tail.

Snakefang fought the dog off bravely with while his clanmate helped protect the kits. It was a hard battle, but they succeeded. Snakefang had a horrible wound in his shoulder, having actually been bit by the flea-brain of a dog before scaring it off. They made their way back to camp with the kits and thankfully, all was well, other than the time it took for both him and Fogkit to recover.

When Doveflight asked Snakefang about his opinion to rename Fogkit, he was honestly hesitant at first, fearing that somehow it would be like defining their kit with a feature that wasn't natural. After Doveflight pointed out that it was simply something that made Fogkit unique, Snakefang agreed and let his mate talk to the leader.

He watched his kits closely as they grew into fine apprentices, taking note of their personalities and favorite fresh-kill. In fact, Snakefang was likely known for his observation skills. He knew what most clanmates liked for freshkill and would share some with them when they were upset.

Snakefang was often seen trying to coax his daughter back into the river for some swimming practice, but ever since Silvertalon drowned saving her from the river, the young she-cat refused to get her pelt wet. Eventually, Snakefang let it go. That wasn't the end of bad occurrences for his kin, though. Shortly after his kits were made warriors--before they even sat vigil--Shortwhisker was taken by twolegs. Snakefang was deeply upset, but he felt comforted knowing that at least his daughter was alive and would hopefully be well.

As time passed, Snakefang went on with his warrior duties until his body grew achy and hard to move. He retired as a proud warrior and joined the elder's den, much to Doveflight's relief, given she was already there waiting for him.

Brief Personality

Snakefang is usually in a good mood, unless you're waking him up from his nap, or if his nest has a few thorns in them. Who would be in a good mood with thorns in your nest? This tom enjoys sunning himself with his cranky mate, Doveflight, while she complains about everything. He doesn't mind though. He's a rather relaxed cat at this point. He put kits into the world, they were fine warriors, he fought well to defend his clan, and now it was time to relax. Whenever Snakefang notices a clanmate upset, he does his best to remember what their favorite freshkill was and then brings it over them them. He is always a good shoulder to lean on, and is known for offering his nest to startled kits.

History

A newly born kit in Stoneclan.

Personality

Spiderkit seems to have a lot of energy for a kit, but then again, which kit wasn't bursting with energy? He can be a bit hypocritical at times, given the fact he'll get annoyed with certain things other cats do, when he is the one that usually does so. Young Spiderkit dreams of being a loyal warrior to Stoneclan, and he plans on following that dream all the way to starclan.

Like most kits, Spiderkit can be seen playing around, although he will always use the excuse of not actually "playing", and instead preparing for when he is a warrior. However, when Spiderkit isn't practicing, he can be seen quietly observing his surroundings. He can be somewhat sneaky, though he takes more pride in his speed, enjoying races with his siblings. Family was important to him, and even though he often expressed this with constant reminders to shape up, it was because he wanted his family to be the best. It wasn't like Spiderkit would shun his family for not living up to their best potential. Then again, he was still a kit, and what did he know better? There are always more things to learn... although Spiderkit isn't the most open-minded.

This young kit would never break a rule; that would be the most horrid thing any cat could do. Rules were in place for a reason and they were meant to be followed. There were no reasons to ever break rules, especially the most important things, like the warrior code. No cat should ever break the warrior code. If they do, they best not let Spiderkit know about it... unless they'd like to be silently judged every time they passed the young tom. He wasn't one to let people forget their mistakes, although he only reminds them to make sure they do better in the future.

W.I.P. (We'll see how he develops)

Extra perks
Spiderkit has a
slight nervous twitch in
his ear. Whenever he
is extremely nervous,
his ears will flick
and twitch repeatedly.

sedgefoot and robinface ;; the elders

Postby Keriae » Mon Nov 10, 2014 5:14 am

Image
Sedgefoot is sixty eight moons old, meaning that he fathered a litter of kits very late in his life. His mate is Robinface, whom he considers to be the most beautiful she-cat in the Clan, closely followed by his daughter, Blackpaw. This poor tom had to retire after suffering from a harsh bout of illness.

PROS
- fast (or was)
- high endurance
- good reflexes
- highly alert
- prefers open spaces

CONS
- wary of large cats
- prone to envy
- can be too proud
- almost paranoid; especially when it comes to close family
- claustrophobic

Image
Image
Robinface is sixty moons old, slightly younger than her mate. She has only birthed one litter of kits, and only one of those survived now: her daughter, Blackpaw. Even so, she is a motherly feline and sees most of the younger cats as her own, and is happy to sit down with them and comfort them should they need it. She retired at the same time as her mate for personal reasons, though she will still join patrols when she can.

PROS
- very good looking (reason she got her suffix)
- good mother
- looks out for everyone
- takes part in patrols

CONS
- spends too long grooming the younger cats
- may slow patrols down
- sometimes disappears from camp
- wishes she could have more kits

Icewhisker; npc

Postby Kitty-lover93 » Mon Nov 10, 2014 5:01 pm

Image

Name: Icewhisker
Age: sixty-seven moons
Gender: Female
Ranks: Warrior | Elder
History: Icewhisker was born to Frozenstar and Whitefang, the previous leader and a senior warrior. She had one sister, Palemist, who was the medicine cat before Tigerstep's mentor. Her kithood and apprenticeship were completely normal. When Palemist received her name, she got a vision that she should take on an apprentice immediately. Not a moon after this new apprentice had received his full name- Thistleleaf -she was murdered. That took a huge toll on Icewhisker; for moons, she alienated herself and searched endlessly for Palemist's murderer. As it turned out, the cat had only murdered her to see what it would be like... Icewhisker almost killed him herself, but her father Frozenstar stopped her and instead exiled the tom and had a patrol of cats drive him completely out of the territory. Finally, the whole ordeal was over, but Icewhisker was now thirty-five moons old and still hadn't met her match. She finally found him in Lightface, a handsome, headstrong tom who fathered Frostfire and died of illness. She became an elder when she went half-blind (right) at fifty-two moons.
Personality: Icewhisker is a bit of an odd cat. She has certain habits that can either be endearing or annoying; she collects feathers, for one, and has made a very intricate nest for herself out of them. She also tends to mutter in her sleep about the most random things, so she can sometimes be amusing to watch. Perhaps the weirdest habit of them all is that she'll hoard bits of soaked moss and keep them around the elders' den, claiming that she's ready if the stream ever dries up. Most cats claim she's going senile; sometimes, she'll be seen just wandering around muttering under her breath. As far as she acts when she's lucid, Icewhisker is nice enough to not be considered mean but snarky enough to be called grumpy. She often forgets common courtesies, so she won't thank an apprentice for bringing fresh-kill or anyone if they compliment her, which rarely happens anyways. Icewhisker doesn't like to talk about her past; if anyone brings it up, she'll get really distant and just tell them to go away.

███████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

- B a s i c s -

Name: Wildheart
Previously Known As: Wildkit, Wildpaw
Age: 25 moons
Gender: Tom
Clan: StoneClan
Rank: Warrior
Mentor: Mudfoot
Apprentice: To Be Appointed
Mother: Cloudfall
Father: Smokeface
Kin: Stormpaw (Brother)
Mate: None
Kits: None
Closest Friends: None yet

██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

- N a m e -

Wildheart is the name bestowed upon him by his warrior ancestors, carefully selected by his mother. She treasured his name as she did the majesty of the forest: mysterious and fortified, yet instilled with the potential to expand into something greater. Wildheart pines for the day that his name reflects the extent of his warrior training.

██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

- R e l a t i o n s -

Cloudfall: Lionheart's mother, Cloudfall, was a very kind-hearted and compassionate soul. She was well-known for her warm disposition and optimism for the future. She withheld a powerful belief in StarClan and looked to her faith to draw strength. Her bond with her warrior ancestors was something that Cloudfall prided herself in. She illustrated the importance of faith and purity of spirit, something that Wildheart continues to strive toward as he carries out his own life. Her greatest flaw, however, was that she depended too heavily on her trust in others. This would later lead to the betrayal of her heart and her ultimate end. Wildheart holds his mother in the highest respect and cherishes her memory deep in the bowels of his heart. She often visits him in his dreams, but only in visions and false illusions. None of the images convey her true aura, but it's comforting to Wildheart to recollect the image of her face when he needs her the most.
Smokeface: Smokeface was the name of Wildheart's father. Though no cat can question Smokeface's loyalty to StoneClan, he was not a pleasant cat to be around. He was aloof and impossible to read. A very large and muscular cat, he was a fierce and terrifying opponent in battle, but hardly ever upheld a conversation. He was very cold and indifferent to his mate and son, something that frustrated Wildheart to no end. Smokeface's cold heart and lack of interaction with his fellow peers was something that would later lead to his ultimatum.
Stormpaw: Wildheart's brother, Stormpaw, was his closest and most cherished friend. One was never seen without the other and they took advantage of their competitive fire and constantly pushed one another to try harder. They were a mischievous duo, those two, always getting into trouble. Stormpaw was warm and playful, very much like Wildheart, so when he died it cost Wildheart everything he was to let him go.

██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

- P e r s o n a l i t y -

⇋ Perseverant ⇌
Wildheart is very well-known for his relentless determination and work ethic. When he commits himself to a task or duty, he follows it through to the very end. His stamina and endurance, both physically and emotionally, is something that Wildheart takes great pride in. However, this one-track way of thinking sometimes limits his decision-making, especially in regards to his own welfare. Oftentimes he falls to recognize when to just submit, but instead he pushes through, which is both an honorable trait and his greatest weakness.
⇋ Free-Spirited ⇌
Wildheart enjoys the simple aspects of life. It doesn't take much to make him smile. He appreciates humor in all of its simplest forms and strives to meet his goal of making someone laugh every day. He has an eye for beauty and enjoys taking walks through nature, either by himself or with a companion or two. Though he is a readily obedient warrior, he does feel a certain rush of adrenaline when he occasionally breaks the rules. Wildheart is a thrill-seeker and thrives on the prospect of adventure, which can be at times frustrating to those who have tried to reel him in.
⇋ Outgoing ⇌
There is almost never a lull in the conversation when Wildheart is around, he makes sure of that. Always quick with a story to tell, he provides amusement for all who will listen. However, some people may find that he likes to be the center of attention, but Wildheart simply can't help it sometimes. He loves gauging the reactions of his audience and making others laugh. He's not afraid of being awkward or clumsy around people and is very expressive of himself. Though of course he has surrendered to humiliation when the situation arises, he normally cares very little about the opinion of others. Though he can be quite a flirt, he is actually surprisingly shy and reluctant towards love.
⇋ Sensuous ⇌
From his mother, Wildheart inherited a strong belief in his warrior ancestors. Perhaps in another lifetime, Wildheart would have made the ideal medicine cat, but he is much too athletically dependent for such a role. His spiritual awareness, however, is something to be marveled at. At times he can simply stroll through the forest and sense the energy of the past bubble beneath his paws and activate his very being. Perhaps it is his imagination, or perhaps Wildheart has a gift for gauging the spiritual energy in everyone and everything around him. He is surprisingly very nostalgic and cherishes his friendships with others.
⇋ Athletic ⇌
Wildheart places a high value on his athleticism, particularly in swimming. His training means everything to him and sometimes he gets a little carried away with challenging every virtue. He is clearly the fastest swimmer, but he likes to challenge his lack of coordination and upper body strength when it comes to more graceful aspects. He harbors stamina and endurance, so running and swimming are his strengths. He prefers to train alone, but every now and then he finds a thrill in competing against his peers. However, he has a tendency to push through injury or sickness, even at the risk of his own well-being. He prefers to keep his ailments to himself, which can prove to be very frustrating to his peers.

██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

- H i s t o r y -

Wildheart had a very normal kithood, aside from the ignorance of his father. He held an incredibly close bond with his brother and together they grew up and trained with the same goals and ambitions. They faithfully followed and respected their mother, but were constantly frustrated by the lack of response by their father. It used to break their hearts as kits, but as they grew up and matured they grew to resent their father. When their mother died of a mysterious illness from a lump found in her head, Wildheart was devastated. His father had not even shared tongues with her body for the last time. Beyond frustrated, Wildpaw and Stormpaw flew into a rage and confronted their father. They chased him off their territory, but while doing so, Stormpaw was struck and killed by a monster. Distrusting Smokeface, the warriors of StoneClan turned their backs on their previous warrior and he fled from the Clan. Wildheart is still haunted by that day when he lost everything.

██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

- A p p e a r a n c e -

Eye Color: Amber
Fur Color: Golden-brown
Fur Pattern: Striped
Fur Length:Short-haired
Size: Moderately Large
Build: Muscular
Wildheart is a light brown-gray dappled tom with darker tabby stripes. He has lighter-colored paws that support a lean, but muscular build. He has broad shoulders and powerful back haunches. His amber eyes depend on the fairness of the weather. He has a short-haired coat and though he withholds obvious strength and muscular power, he does not appear overly large. He still manages to maintain a lanky body composition.

H I S T O R Y ; He grew up in the Clan like any other warrior would, with his two sisters Daisystem and Heavymist. At times Heavymist felt more like a brother, with rough tenancies and the large build inherited from their father's side. They butt heads often, but were always closer to each other than with Daisystem. Daisystem had always been on her own, but never minded. She was quiet and sweet, not loud and rowdy like her siblings. She eventually settled down with a mate and grew her own family, though that was never a wish Heavymist and Wolfpelt had desired. The three grew old together. Heavymist was the first to be sent to StarClan. Wolfpelt would hide his hurt by joking that she had only done it to spite him and she had simply gone too far. By the time Daisystem followed moons later, he had accepted it as part of life, being elderly himself. Sometimes he can be caught talking to his sisters in his sleep, though no one knows whether or not they actually visit him. He is just waiting out his life, expecting to have died fifteen moons ago.
