Xavier simply blinked, unsure of what to do. Was she insane or something? "Uh... Same to you too?" What was he supposed to say in a situation like that? Any other time a human had seen him they'd immediately run away screaming, not approached him, let alone talk to him. It was beyond weird, and honestly, he was a little freaked out.

-- " it's Skye. Lame girlish names always stick to lame, girlish boys." he spoke with a slight laugh, though it was uncertain whether it was of habit, anxiousness or finding humour in the statement. The boy watched Ross' movements and clued in to one thing; he rarely spoke to others or opened up to people. crossing ones arms across their chest was usually a gesture that in a way sheilded ones heart and made a metaphorical wall in between the listener and the presenter who had no intentions of opening up to this person.

Ross nodded. Skye somehow fit him, it seemed like a name given to someone like him, although he wasn't sure how. Certain names just seemed to belong to certain people, and he was one of those examples. His hair was also blue, so that could be another reason. "Skye... I'll remember that," he said thoughtfully, rolling his eyes diagonally as he imprinted the name to his mind. It wasn't everyday you met a human as interesting as this one. He'd want to make a mental note not to kill him for the time being.

Zeke leaned against a brick wall in a dark alley. He was surrounded by trash cans and a few stray cats had gathered near the cans and had started to fight over a piece of meat. He lifted the lit cigarette to his lips, inhaling it slowly. He then removed it from his lips as he turned his head toward the street. He exhaled a puff of smoke, his eyes searching. He had heard the Angels of Death are about at this time of night. He lifted the cigarette to his lips once more, waiting.

I pushed away from where I was leaning against the wall of an apartment complex and flew up above the buildings. I hovered over the city, looking down at all the people who looked tiny from up here. But out of all the people, one caught my eye. A guy standing in the alley of a pizza place. Interesting... I thought as I dropped down behind him silently and pulled my wings in tight against my back. "You know, those things'll kill you." I said, gesturing to the cigarette.

" can i ask yours?" he asked, then laughing a little out of tiredness, a little out of a realization. " you know i bet people think i'm crazy, or you think i'm crazy, because i just started talking to you out of nowhere. I'm sorry if i'm bothering you." he was genuine, and made sure to be extra careful right at that moment to be sure his new..well he wanted to say friend but was unsure, wasnt upset or bothered at all. He liked this new person, and really couldn't care less about how little human ross was at that point.

"Well alright then." nodding Eden leaned away from the window, "My parents get to travel and I get to meet a dark angel without the life being sucked from me. This has got to be one for the books and I got to get back to mine." lifting the books she had set by the window she once more disappeared coming out the front door. Looking up she hesitated, this time it would be easier for him to attach her but she pushed that thought into the back of her mind.

"Oh, you're crazy alright," Ross replied, leaning against the brick wall of the building beside him, "but that's the only thing keeping you alive right now, so keep going with it." That wasn't totally true, as he didn't really need any souls at the moment, and therefore probably would have let him go anyways, but it would probably keep him form killing him in the future. "And my name's Ross," he added. He saw no harm in telling this human his name. A name didn't so much other than give the other person something to call you by.

Xavier continued to stare at the girl, completely clueless how he should react. She said something else, but he didn't really catch it. Watching her walk back down with her books, he chewed the inside of his cheek, trying to decided whether or not she was sand. He was pretty sure that the answer was no.

" aw, i thought it was because i was pretty." Skye joked, ending up covering a laugh with the back of his hand. " i'm really pushing my luck, aren't i?" the young man stood at maybe 5'6", and as he leaned against the wall himself a ways away from Ross he realized what a deal shorter he was. " i don't get it though, why people are so scared of your kind. Americans hold guns constantly and they do more harm than you lot do. If a mentally unstable kid gets a hold of you it does nothing, but with a gun there could be anarchy. You're ultimately safer than guns."

"Glad to know that I'm safer than a mechanical weapon that causes thousands of deaths year," Ross replied with only a touch of sarcasm to his voice. He still found it odd how comfortable this human seemed around him, but in a way it was refreshing. It could get old talking only to other dark Angels. Most of them, like him, we're just dark and not the type of person you really wanted to spend too much time around. Then there was Xavier who was just a flat out moron with way too much energy. Even the thought of dealing with the childish angel gave him a headache. "Were you supposed to be going somewhere?" He asked, realizing that this human- er, Skye - had been going somewhere and must have had a destination.
