Firestar was already sitting perched above his den, watching the sun's rise.

Doeeyes emerged from the warriors' den feeling well rested and pleased after her sleep.

Seafang and Cherryblossom chatted in the nursery. The brown-and-gold tom had only moved in the day before.
"Do you think Adderstrike will make a good deputy?" Cherryblossom asked.
Seafang nodded, then yawned. "Firestar picked 'em, so of course 'e will." He lifted his head. "Couldn't be better than myself, though," he said jokingly, earning a laugh from the old she-cat.
"But bein' serious," he said, sobering up, "I was much to old to carry on doin' the job. 'Sides, I would never 'av been fit to take over if Firestar was to kill over."

Lionfang arched his back, stretching weariness out of his limbs. The short, shaggy, lion-gold tom trotted out into the clearing to see what was happening.

Silentpool awoke from her rest, her amber eyes heavy with sleep. The tabby yawned and padded out of the warriors den.

Coralpaw was already awake. "Ello!" she greeted Silentpool.

Shadedleaf was picking herbs quietly, his multi-colored tail sweeping the ground.

Sorrelskip sighed as she cleaned her brother's fluffy kitten soft fur.She was just barely listening to Seafang's and Cherry blossom' s conversation.Both because she didn't like to gossip and because she was nervous about tell Ravenflight.
