History: He was one of the more daring merman. When he was three, he was always scared of humans. But once he grew older, he wanted to know more. His father, mother, and sister always worried about him because John always asked questions about humans. His mother was killed during a fishing net accident and it left John's father heart-broken and bitter towards humans. When John was older, he finally surfaced and saw what was happening for humans. He felt more curious about them then ever, his curiosity, pity, and kindness all balled up into one compact goal: To help them survive. Most of his pod is also willing to help, but his father says otherwise. Once John's father died, his pod, his sister, and himself decided to talk about what they could do to help humans.

History: She lived near the ocean and loved to surf. A little incident with some sharks left her with only one hand, but she still loves her life. Her brother became very ill a year before the water rise. Her father and mother used to joke about mermaids and merman as myths, but they know it's not just imagination. She is very quick-witted and can help in almost any situation. After finding about mermaids and merman, she started to get a little edgy. She loved the ocean, but she didn't really like its wildlife. She knows that it's her duty as a human to gain the mermaids trust, but she just doesn't feel good enough about it.
