Why is the rum always gone?
(Little note, when equine characters are speaking in english, any humanoids who hear them only hear horse speak. Nickers, whinnies, neighs and other such noises)
Here is tale to explain why the rum is always gone. It’s a silly one that is assured and it might just make you watch your horned friends a little more closely than you might have done before.
Twas a calm night aboard The Bloody Mary. The galleon bobbed gently up down on the water where it was currently anchored. Most of the ships crew and their trusty horned companions were fast asleep.
Topaz eyes examined the stable set into the hold. Athena quietly unhooked the rope with her mouth before quietly walking out of her stall, then moved quietly to release Hades and then Rhokeus.
“Come” the dark mare nickered softly to the two stallions and lead the way toward the storage room. After quickly looking around, she grasped the bolt between her teeth and pulled it back therefore allowing the door to swing open. It took Athena a few moments to locate what she was looking for.
“Alright boys find the lightest colored crates and drag them out here. We’ll see about getting rid of the content once we get all of them out of storage.” She nickered and grabbed one of the crates with her teeth and began to pull it back out of the room.
The three of them were unaware of the pair of crimson eyes that watched their movements from around a corner. Their owner curious as to what the hell horses were doing. Isabela watched the three Narakari pulling out all three crates of rum from the store room.
Are they going to drink the stuff or is it something else they’re doing with it? She questioned mentally. A soft sound echoed outside and her ears pricked slightly in an attempt to hear better. The noise came again and the dark haired elf strained to pick up what exactly was making the noise. It was a whinney? She stared unseeing as she tried to figure out just who could be whinnying out in the open. All but three of the Narakari were currently safe and sound in their stalls. Isabela shook herself out of her thoughts only to notice that the mare and her accomplices had vanished out onto deck.
Athena abandoned her crate of rum in order to look over the edge of the boat. Her golden eyes met a pair of pink ones whose owner was currently bobbing happily in the water.
“Greetings, Athena. I believe you’ve brought what I asked for?” The newcomer questioned, tilting her head to one side. The dark Narakari nodded and began to grab bottles one by one in her teeth then drop them into the water. Each bottle was gathered and gently placed into a small floating object.
Isabela snuck out onto deck just in time to see her companion be doused with seawater as beautiful silver black dapple merhorse leapt right over the ship. The dark mare looked almost completely black and very much wet as she screamed at the aquatic equine.
She laughed softly to herself and then halted as Athena caught sight of her.
“Now, Athena. I’m not laughing at your misery. I’m... Why are you looking at me like that? No, no. Don’t you dare!” Isabela screeched as her trusty Narakari darted over and vigorously shook herself spraying seawater all over the poor elf. “Oh you are so for it right now” the dark eyed elf growled as Athena whinnied, looking for all the world like she was laughing.
GOS and Narakari are in kahoots! Run for your lives! Also Hades and Rhokeus belong to their respective owners I just borrowed them very quickly as Athena was too lazy to move all the crates herself! <3
