Unfortunately for the kittypet, the deceptive she-cat was lurking close by. Behind the bush, the she-cat lashed out at the cat and tried dragging her deeper behind the bush before attempting to pin her down. She hissed at the cat, although she wasn't going to do much to the other cat.

Bristlepelt needed to clear his mind. The world was getting to complicated with all this zombie stuff and he couldn't keep his mind off the patrol. He decided to take a quick walk outside camp. Promising himself he wouldn't go far or take to long, he slipped out the entrance to camp. Within only a few paw steps his nose was suddenly greeted with the acrid scent of blood. The tom's fur instantly stood up in alarm. Was there another Infected walking about? He listened for snarling sounds but when none came he carefully walking forward. The bloody scent was coming from a body, he realised. His eyes stared at the body lying on the ground in the distance.
A shiver violently shook Bristlepelt as he recognized the fur. Sparrowcatcher. He sucked in a terrified breath and sprung towards the cat in a couple bounds. Sparrowcatcher was lying on the ground, blood and slashes on his body. A million questions barged into Bristlepelt's mind. What happened? Where's the patrol? Did an Infected get him? But the only words that manages to escape his mouth was a strangled, "Sparrowcatcher?.. Sparrowcatcher, get up!" He pushed against the toms shoulders, "You have to get up! Please!"

Mia had not noticed anything wrong until, quite suddenly, something seized her and unexpectedly pulled her off of her feet. Mia crashed onto her flank and let out a wild yelp of fear, whirling over to her back to fend off her assailant. Her immediate first thought was that it was one of the sick cats and, right then, she thought she was dead.
But it wasn't--this cat was not dead.
"Who...?" Mia gasped, her flank heaving as she panted in fear. These forest cats really were vicious! The mouse was long gone by now, so there was no point in trying to show off to Solsticetalon.
