What is a Peculiar Cat?
There are many kinds of peculiar cats, but the most common are Ostiodae, with sentient tails that must eat, breathe, and drink to survive. If the tail dies, the cat dies with it. We then go up to Arthrodae, Avilidae, Lumidae, and finally, Masqueridae.
Species
Ostiodae;; The most common, Ostiodae, also known as Tailmouths, can have any markings imaginable, but no extra growths. They are omnivores and will eat almost anything, sometimes even leeching a bit off their tail. They are fully implemented and recreated in the lab.
Arthrodae;; This species has eight legs and can spin silk through its clawed hind legs. These cats are a no-brainer for the creepiest species of the bunch.
Avidae;; With amphithere-esque traits, these felines are dangerous in groups, but harmless when alone. They travel in groups and are fiercely protective of their young, which hatch from fragile sacs outside of the mother's body.
Lumidae;; These cats have dragonfly wings and luminous markings along with full, fluffy tails. They are fully implemented and recreated in the lab.
Masqueridae;; These cats wear masks that cannot be removed from their face because the mask is an extension of their skull. They are usually darkly colored in shades of purple, blue, and black, with white, cyan, lilac, gold, or silver markings. They are the rarest of the Peculiar Cats and are strictly vegan. They flourish in captivity, and one of the reasons they are so rare may be their diet. They are fully implemented and recreated in the lab.
