Oakfang turned around quickly to see Volantstar. His ear went back to touch his head. Was this the Volantstar i remember? No... He thought about it for a moment. She was always strict and concerned of her clan's needs, before anyone particular. It hurt to know, but all his life, she was like that. She made no real close attachments to anyone, even her own kits she had kept distance in some way, never mixing her personal life with the the clan's needs. He sighed, as he, unlike her, put feelings and beliefs before... the clan in general. It was a bit selfish, but it allowed him to see the individual each cat was and their needs. He stood up, nudging Sparrowcatcher with him. "I will return him back to camp then. He can't possibly go alone in this Twolegplace." He meowed with a dead serious meow, his normal character seemingly missing. He couldnt let the tom be left to die... it wasn't fair. Besides... he felt perhaps it really was just a scrape but wasnt positive.

Echoflight glanced to Oakfang, he knew that recently he was the new tom to have some sort of relationship with his mother but he did not care like his uncle Thunderstorm had. He looked in respect to the tom as he volunteered to go with Sparrowcatcher.

"No, Oakfang." She mewed rather strictly to the tom. "You can't go, it's too dangerous." She looked over Sparrowcatcher, trying to think of something reasonable. "Sparrowcatcher, can you walk? If you can we can put some poultice on your leg and send you off, just to try and prevent any infeciton, whether it's this one or some other." Volantstar mewed to the tom, she was concerned, knowing she couldn't let Oakfang or any of the others escort Sparrowcatcher back out of the danger.

"I know a kittypet that can escort him to the city's edge. I'm sure Caster wouldn't mind." Thorn offers quietly.

The little Siamese cat was startled as he complimented her but, of course, he'd finished it off with a threat.
"I'm not a kittypet anymore," Mia declared. She wasn't going to be afraid of this cat. Not like before. She sat down abruptly and curled her tail over her paws, staring at the tom with her round blue eyes. Of course, the blue collar she usually wore was still there..."Ehr...not really. My housefolk, well, they left. I don't think they're...coming back. So...I guess I'm kinda like you now. A forest cat." She tilted her head when she looked at him inquisitively. He seemed such a harsh cat on the outside. She didn't know much about him, but 'Solsticetalon' certainly seemed to have plenty of experience being a forest cat. If he wasn't so aggressive, maybe he could teach her. But she wasn't on friendly terms with him yet, that was for sure.

"It's okay, Oakfang." Sparrowcatcher assured the tom. He was about to brush his tail against the tom's flank when he thought better of it. The tom might not want to be touched by him if he thought he was infected...and, to be honest, Sparrowcatched wasn't sure if he would, either.
"I can walk. I know my way back. And besides..." Sparrowcatcher lowered his head when he spoke. "It's best if no one comes with. If I...if I am infected, and something happens...I don't want to hurt anyone else."

Spottedkit walked faster and faster. She was just trying to be nice, her 'sister' didn't need to be so mean about it! She wasn't paying attention where she was going and tripped over Echtkit.
