Charlie hopped down the steps and landed beside Livvy. Letting her eyes pass over the Hermes table which no one was present at yet. "I only notice how hungry I am now that I'm here. How about you?" Charlie asked, her eyes scanning the rest of the mess hall at everyone else. "Who do you think I should prank?"

Shadow leaned in the shadows, his favourite place, and watched the son of Apollo, Miles run to the other demigods. His obsidian coloured eyes passed over them all, he regonised most of them, all except one. He nodded to her and then glanced at others.

"Why?" Shadow said, stepping out of the shadows. "Because you hurt yourself. That's why. Isn't it obvious?" Shadow asked, holding Morte the Hell hound pup in his arms, stroking his black fur before setting him down on the pup's red paws. "You're not dying. I can tell you that much."

The pain sharpened for a moment, making Chris writhe around. He gasped for breath, his vision blurring, but then the spasm ceased. He stopped moving around. He looked back up at Shadow. "I know, but it won't stop making me miserable!" He turned to lay on his side, looking at the grass. He wanted another grape vine stick, but he was too weak and it wouldn't be strong enough, probably. Looking at his broken one, he wailed, "how will I get back now!?"

Shadow offered his pale hand to the son of Dionysus, "I'll help you up, that's how. We may have barely talked but I'm not cruel enough to watch you lying helplessly on the floor. Do you want a walking stick made of bones, perhaps? I can sense a good few nearby. Sturdy." Shadow thought for a moment. "Or... Morte here-" Shadow nodded to the Hell hound at his heels. "-Can grow pretty big for a temporary amount of time. Maybe he can carry you. Either or. You choose. Or maybe you aren't comfortable sitting on the back of a Hell hound who's name means death in Italian."

He tried to muster a good attitude, but he was uneasy around the son of Hades, mainly because.. Well, death and grapes don't go together. "So your pup's name is Morte? I like it." He smiled. Smiling helped his mood toward Shadow.
