We all know there have been countless stories - mythes, legends - with pirates, ghosts, mermaids, sea serpents, and too many more to list. But what about those legends that aren't spoken of except in the dark of night and in closed doors. It's one of the the stories that no one would believe if they heard about it. They would laugh. They would scoff. They would put the speaker into an asylum. At best.
But. But now? Now the true tales come out. You might call me crazy. That's alright. I thought I was too.

A single ship drifted across the pitch black seas so silently you could have swore it wasn't there. The only evidence that it was there was that whenever the half moon peaked out of the clouds the sails would glitter like pure silver.
"Report." A gruff voice whispered into the dark night. For some strange reason, the ship had no lanterns. But, it never hit an island or a coral reef. The crew must have been able to see in the dark perfectly as if it were day. But how?
"Report: winds are perfect; the current be going with us; and we be making great time." It was clearly another pirate with the way he spoke.
"Good... Good..." The first voice lit an expensive cigar, the tip glowing. "You're dismissed." He continued. The second pirate nodded and headed below deck for a much needed night of sleep. It had been a long week. The ship needed more supplies. The whole crew could barely keep their eyes open. But that dind't bother the captain. He had a hunch. Something good was about to happen. He could feel it in his old bones. It reminded him that he was indeed getting old. Things weren't as easy as they used to be. Even pirates needed to retire...

But something was very, very, different about the ship and its crew. Sometimes, through an unbreakable power, two people fall in love. Even if they aren't exactly the same. When an angel - yes you heard me right - falls in love with a human, something amazing takes place. Their love for each other is impossible to miss whenever he looks are her. And, given the right circumstances, they might even have a child. These children are special beyond belief. They are physically and mentally faster, stronger, smarter and sadly for mere mortals, beautiful. They are hard to resist if you are lucky enough to come across them for they are much too clever and sly for their own safety.

'Yes, yes but what does this all mean?' you say. I'm here to tell you that this story is about when a group of those half-bloods get together. It only happened once so monumentaliously. They banded together to create the crew of
Phantom, and they were feared across the oceans. Why? Because they were slightly afraid of being revealed for who they were. So, whenever they chased after a ship they would simply kill everyone on board. It was simple really. So simple. The only thing those on land knew was that there was a pirate ship out there that would kill everyone in sight. Are you afraid yet? Good. Because I experienced these winged pirates. With me and another 'mortal', we were taken as hostages on the Phantom and honestly it was terrifying every moment. They could have killed us at any moment, any minute of every day. It still puzzles me to this day. But the most unexpected things happened upon that ship. And... well. Its hard to explain without hearing the whole story...

Name: Charlotte Alexandria Clark
Gender: Female
Age: Twenty-three
Winged pirate or human? Half-blood pirate/winged pirate
Personality: --I shall fill out later, when I figure it out. ^^""
History: Charlotte always wanted a different life; even when she was a little kid, she would sneak out of her home and patrol the streets in search of something greater. Something better than the life she had. A life full of adventure. It wasn't that she had a terrible life or anything. Actually, it was nothing of the sort. She lived a life of grandour with a father that worked a great, nicely-paying job and a mother who was always home, always to take care of her daughter. However, Charlotte didn't want this life. Some say she was being ungrateful and that she should have been happy to have such a life. Well, she didn't care what they say; in her opinion, her life was boring and she didn't very much like it. Her mother had one eye constantly on her daughter and her father was a little too strict; they didn't want their precious daughter to hang with the wrong people, to get into trouble or anything of the sort. They wanted her to be a well-behaved, well-mannered young lady. At least, that is what others thought. The truth was, they didn't want their daughters...deformity to be known about. The truth was, she had wings, and if anyone knew about it, her parents knew that things would get bad. So, she simply was kept under the watchful eye of the two and it was made sure that no one would ever find out about it. Well, that isn't want she wanted. Charlotte wanted a more exciting, free life, one full of adventure. So, when she was fifteen, she set off to sea with a group of people just like her.
Appearance: Image
Crush: None, as of yet.
Other: Charlotte, like most other half-bloods, has a small gift. She has the ability to sense if she is being lied to, or if the other person is telling the truth. She has no idea how to explain it, but she can just...tell. She doesn't read facial expression nor does she listen to the tone of someone's voice. She just kind of...knows. Charlotte says she simply just has a feeling when someone is lying to her. It is next to impossible to lie to her. This has also made her a pretty skillful liar.

Name: Carter Theodore Farr
Gender: Male
Age: Twenty-one
Winged pirate or human? Human
Personality: --I shall fill out later, when I figure it out. ^^""
History: Samuel lived a mostly normal life for as long as he could remember; that is, until the age of about fourteen. That was when his father set out to sea on a ship full of his partners and friends. They had planned on going on some sort of 'adventure' and coming back within a months time. Well, that never happened. Apparently, their ship had either gotten attacked or it had crashed, according to his mother. His father was never to be seen again. Samuel, for some reason, didn't take this as bad as his mother. He seemed to grow numb and cold to everyone and would rarely speak at all. His mother took it...rather badly. She became quite abusive and was always angry, it seemed. She would blame Samuel, saying that it was all his fault that his father had been killed and would never return. So, at the age of sixteen, he ran away. Samuel found work at many places and never truly regretted hid decision to leave and run away. Although, at times he wondered if he shouldn't have left his mother, and if she is doing all right now.
Appearance: Image
Crush: None, as of yet.
Other: Eh, nothing really. ^^

Name:
Rosetta Jane Matthews
She is called 'Miss. Matthews' by the captain but to the rest of the crew she is more commonly called Ro or Rosetta. Yet, to Rosetta's amusement and annoyance, some of the men on board insiste (sp?) on calling her 'Silver' because of her eyes. With the right light they can shine like silver coins, hence the name.
Gender:
Female
Age:
Nineteen, as of since September first
Winged pirate or human?
Winged pirate
Rosetta hasn't told anyone but she figured out that she can control storms. Unfortunately, whenever there is a storm brewing she can only do a little by warding off the worst of the winds and lightning. Sometimes just the pressure changing with the storms hits her hard. She figures it must be from her 'gift'. But, on her down time Rosetta will practice by creating her own miniature storms.
Personality:
Rosetta is very much a hard case to crack. She is quick to judge and fails to be kind or friendly. No matter what you tell her she won't trust you. At all. The only person she trusts - slightly - is her captain. Because if she didn't she would probably have a sword through her stomach. But, as hard as Rosetta tries to get everyone to leave her alone, the guys can be... attracted to her. They'll pretend they aren't but Rosetta can see right through lies. She finds it very annoying for many times she's told them she isn't interested but what does that do? Make them all the more interested in her. But Rosetta just does what she does, ignoring just about everyone until the last moment, and doesn't let pity attempts at love or hate get to her.
Yet, beneath her hard shell, Rosetta is surprisingly... kind. At times, when she's had a good bit of chocolate and she actually doesn't mind the person she's talking to, then she can almost be pleasant. She has a great smile that will leave most stunned. Rosetta loves to laugh but it is rarely heard from her. It just doesn't fit for her. She can't let herself become that person for reasons she'll never tell. So to make up for it she'll tell herself whatever she thinks is funny and hide it all behind a smirk. It's the least she can do when every moment it seems as if her life is hanging in the balance.
History:
Rosetta's mother was an angel. Her father was a kind bookworm that proudly ran a library. When Rosetta was younger her father would always smile to himself and randomly tell a story about Rosetta's mother. Rosetta could never get the whole story from her father. Always bits and pieces for by the time Rosetta was getting enough information her father would be thinking about another book.
Life living with her father was challenging. Often times Rosetta had to take care of herself for her father would always have his nose in a book. It had been extremely frusturating but Rosetta pushed through. She couldn't leave home without a book in her bag if her father had anything to say about it. Meals were on an "eat or be eaten" basis. Cooking was almost beyond her father. So Rosetta never eats more than she can. She always eats what will keep her body moving and breathing only. That's why Rosetta is so thin. It's not that she doesn't like food its just she can easily see that someone else could need it more than herself.
When Rosetta was 17 he decided that she had to find her place in the world. But there was one last thing she wanted to know before she left: Her mother's name. It took days of trying until finally Rosetta blocked off every room with a book in it before she could get her father's attention. And after what Rosetta found to be a surprising amount of energy, her father finally told her. Alette. Armed with that knowledge, Rosetta was adopted into the Phantom's family and never left. It felt too much like a home away from home.
But it took Rosetta a while to settle in. She got in trouble often with her firey temper and not listening to her elders. It took a long time for the captain to finally accept her fully. She looks up to him, almost like an uncle. And they have a special bond. It's almost like Rosetta would be his second in command but something always stops him from giving her the position. She's won't say why. She just doesn't see it as something everyone needs to know.
Appearance:
Rosetta stands at around 5'5 though she'll tell you 5'7 anyway. She is thin and agile in everyway and is surprisingly strong despite her fragile appearance. She's extremely dangerous with her temper that will change at a moment's notice. Yet, with her gray eyes and long dark locks, Rosetta is most certainly a looker. Her eyes will change with the circumstances. When she's feeling upset or strongly emotioned (That's not even a word *snickers*) her large eyes will be storm cloud gray. If she's feeling pleased or amused her eyes can be a light shade of silver with a few darker flecks. But most of the time her eyes will be somewhere in between. Rosetta is proud to say she has her mother's eyes. Rosetta is also proud to say that her eye lashes are dark and lush. One bat of them and young men are powerless towards her. Rosetta's hair is from her father, dark black and unruly. It often hangs in her eyes, masking her face even more behind her stone gaze.
Rosetta wears dark clothing that is easy to move in and comfortable. She doesn't have a shirt that isn't marred by two slits for her wings - besides the single shirt she has for when they land and they need to be as descreet as possible. It's just the way things have to be. Plus, Rosetta doesn't mind.
But during an attack Rosetta dresses in the darkest clothes she has for the Phantom almost always attacks at night. She wears a hooded jacket to hide her face for reasons she doens't like to dwell on.
Then, there's Rosetta's wings. With a 12 foot wing span, Rosetta dwarfs a lot of the crew's extra limbs. Her feather's are strange, as strange as a girl with wings can get. Her feathers are a blood red with black tips, much like the Red Tailed Hawk except with her own touch. Not that she meant for her feathers to be like that. Stranger yet, the feathers at the base of her wings are a downy white and super soft. Rosetta can't tell you how many guys have longed to run their fingers through those few white feathers.
Crush:
~To Be Edited~
Other:
Rosetta returns to her father once a year just so her book-ish father knows she's okay. Inside Rosetta cares about her father greatly and any jokes or bad words about her father are punished. Severely.

Name:
William Luke Johnson
He can be known as Will but only his younger sister can call him Willy. It's only cute from her mouth in William's eyes.
Gender:
Male
Age:
Twenty-four, as of since May tenth
Winged pirate or human?
Human
Personality:
William isn't afraid of most things. He doesn't care that his life isn't exactly perfect. He doesn't care that he isn't the most sought after bachelor out there. He gives his all to what's important. He's very protective towards those he loves even if he can't be all they need him to be. With his life being so hectic, William isn't an average guy anymore. Sadly, he can be very serious and thoughtful and of course, worried. He's friendly but if he doesn't trust you it can be a chilly conversation.
With all the pressure, William feels as if he's thirty instead of his two and twenty. Thinking about it makes him feel sadder and lonely. The only for sure time he'll smile is if his younger sister, Melody, is around. So past his need to be the caring, parenting one William just needs to relax. He would give anything to fall asleep knowing that Melody would be safe and fed. Losing so much sleep takes its toll day after day. William can be found napping often. He sleeps well most of the time, not counting when he has nightmares. He's still annoyed that he still has nightmares to live with.
But, once things are calm and steady, he's entertaining. William gets worried about things easily so he'll always be wary of whatever he does. Coax him out of it and he's just a boy needing a good laugh every once in a while. It's not that he's depressed just scared of what the future may hold. He isn't sure he's ready for the next moment, the next minute, the next day.
History:
When William was fifteen his parents were killed.
William grew up happily on ships. His father would bring him along to a lot of the trips they had to take for his father was a merchant. Even William's mother enjoyed sailing. They were a very happy family. A better family William couldn't have found. But then, things got better. Mrs. Johnson had a little baby girl when William was twelve. It was a big age difference but William loved Melody all the same. She was the greatest thing in his world. He spent every moment he could with her, making her laugh, making her smile, making those pretty eyes shine. The family was even more perfect in William's eyes. Spending time with his family wasn't hard to love. His mother's cooking was the best. His father's laugh was contagious. His baby sister's smile was breath-taking.
Then it all changed. William and three-year-old-Melody had been taken care of by one of William's mother's friends. That day they had been down by the pier to welcome their parents home. As they stood, spying the ship by the colorful British flag, William had been holding Melody in his arms tightly. But then, as the ship drew closer, another ship came into view. And it was an enemy. A pirate ship. They attacked the very ship with William's parents on it. They looted it and killed many. As the pirates disappeared back onto their ship, the merchant ship caught fire. Fifteen-year-old-William watched with a feeble hope that his parents would make it. They never did.
So William holds a strong grude against pirates in general. When someone will be able to take care of Melody, William plans on becoming a pirate hunter.
Appearance:
Image
(IGNORE the man in the back. ^^" It was the only good picture I could find... ;p )
William stands at a lanky 5'10. He's somewhere in between buff and thin. Average. But with the living on the streets he's very durable.
His hair is thick and shaggy, much to his annoyance. It's a bright blonde with darker streaks running through it. His hair turns up at the edges strangely enough not that William can do anything about it... His eyes are a shining light blue. They often have darklights of dark blue. William's mother always said that William's eyes were beautifully-icy. He blushes at the memory still.

{ Yes they are allowed one (1) power. Preferably small for they are only 'children'. Over time their powers would grow stronger etc etc. And yes, Rosetta's form is pretty redonkulous.
Indeed. >3 Have you seen that movie? It's sooo good as are the books and not to mention the main guy is quite a stud muffin <3 }

{ Yuppers, that's an pretty awesome power. <3
Stormbreaker! It's based off of the books, the Alex Rider books, that are simply wonderful! I haven't finished the series yet but I'm working on it. xD
You want to get started!? }

William woke up to the creaking of a ship, the muffled shouts, and the sunlight shining through the floor boards. He had an pounding head ache that made him wince with pain. What had happened? He faintly remembered the ship he had been on being attacked and blood. A lot of blood. William opened his eyes as it all came rushing back...

Williams had been on a merchant ship, hoping to pick up where his father left off except starting from the bottom, and suddenly the ship had a hole in its side from a cannon. There had been fighting but the merchant ship hadn't stood a chance against the pirates. But for some reason, William had only been hit in the head with something hard... He had drifted in and out of consciousness. One time he thought he saw a dark black feather cross his line of vision; another time he could distinctly make out a pair of figures, one was hooded darkly but the figure's stance was arrogant and judgement. Then there had been voices. "Why must we keep them alive?" Someone had hissed in a hushed tone. "Miss. Matthews, I suggest you keep your lips shut of I'll have to shut them myself." The other voice had threatened. The first voice had kept silent but William could only imagine that the voice hadn't wanted to be.
Then another time he saw the glowing of flames as they licked wood hungrily. It had been the ship William had been standing on moments before. As he fell back into the darkness, a worry had tightened around his heart: He was on a pirate ship. Not a friendly one by any means...

Gasping, William brushed his hair from his eyes. Then, of all things, there sat a girl. With another wave of shock rippled through him. It was the figure! The figure who had hooded itself from view. He didn't know how he knew, he just did. She was sitting upon a few boxes of cargo, but her delicate brow was furrowed angrily. For what, William couldn't say as he slumped against the wall. Melody. What was going to happen to Melody?

---*---

Rosetta couldn't believe things had backfired so quickly. Things had been perfect for the first few minutes of the attack. Then, when Rosetta had voiced her opinion in keeping a few humans alive, the Captain had almost sent her to swabbing the decks. The lowest thing possibly for a pirate. Now she had to babysit a pair of unconscious humans. It was not high on her list of things to do... But then she noticed one of the guys was awake. She looked up from her lap where she had been reading a book. On board Rosetta had a few books. She had to with her father a librarian. Plus, whenever she had a down moment it was relaxing to read a book where things weren't so hectic.
So, seeing the 'prisoners' lock in their own cells, Rosetta leapt easily off of the boxes and vanished up the stairs to the main deck. The salty air filled her lungs as she paused, the sun's rays hitting her full on. It felt wonderful. it wasn't hard to believe that Rosetta loved the sea. One look at her aboard a ship and you knew.
"Miss. Matthews! You better not be trying to escape your punishment..." A sly voice touched her ears. The breath was warm and tousled a few of her stray hairs.
"One of them is awake and please do not stand so close or I may just have to punish you, Captain." Rosetta answered. Only a handful of the crew members could talk to the Captain that way. A deep chuckle sounded. Strangely enough, the Captain was young. Most half-bloods were. He was very handsome in a extraordinary way. He didn't try. He didn't flaunt the fact that most men were put to shame up against him. He had other things on his mind. With chestnut hair and hazel eyes, even Rosetta - at times - found herself going weak in he knees when he looked directly at her.
"I like fiesty young little gals." He teased before turning back to the main wheel. "Charlotte Clark! Where you be?" The Captain was highly educated by sometimes he would embrace his pirate-life a little too much. "You're dismissed, Miss. Matthews." He murmured, studying the waves thoughtfully.
Rosetta glanced around but things were fairly quiet. Well, as quiet as a pirate ship could be. So Rosetta took advantage of the perfect morning. She sat on the freshly swabbed deck and absorbed the sunshine. She had been up all night... Yawning slightly, Rosetta rolled her shoulders, unfurling her large wings. They shone perfectly in the sunlight. Rosetta laid on her stomach, stretching her wings to their full wing span so the sunlight would wash over them deliciously. It made Rosetta shiver with delight. She rarely got a spare moment so she would take every chance she could get. Her black hair was tied back with a length of worn leather but her hair always was unable to stay in place. Her wings glittering in the rising sun and her eyes closed, Rosetta had a feeling a few male pirates would be a little distracted this morning... It brought a smirk to her lips ever so slightly.

{ Bleh, gotta go! Sorry for the iffy post for William. I wanted to write Rosetta so bad but I was rushing everything so it wasn't very good. ;p }

(( Ahh, yes! :3 I have the book, just never read it. I've seen glimpses of the movie before, but never fully watched it. ^^""
Whew! I hope my post is as good as that! O.o
Oh, and I change my guy's name because I didn't really like 'Samuel'. >3 So now it's Carter haha. ))

A sharp pain in the back of his head caused his eyes to flash open, a small gasp sounding from his throat. With wide, dark green eyes darting in every direction, the dark-haired boy sat up, only to lay back down as quickly as he had sat up. He noticed out of the corner of his eye someone darting out of the room. What in the world was going on? Where was he? These types of questions flooded into his mind and, suddenly, it all came rushing back to him at once.

Carter had been given a job working for some of the merchants-he'd needed the money and they'd needed another worker. So, why not?. He'd been on the ship when it had been attacked by...by who? Carter had only seen glimpses of the attackers when they'd boarded the ship. The last thing he truely remembered was feeling a hard thump and severe pain on the back of his head. Everything else was just guess-work, for he had been drifting in and out of consciousnes. Carter had seen glimpses of what had happened and the things he had seen...well, to say the least, he wished he had just stayed unconcious. He had heard snippets of unfamiliar, rough-sounding voices but hadn't really been able to put two and two together. They had been talking about keeping some of them alive, or something of the sort. However, after hearing that, Carter had blacked out again.

The dark-haired boy blinked in surprise as he did his best to remember what had happened. Carter sat up, slower this time, and looked around. He realized, then, that he was not alone. He wanted to ask where they were, or what had happened. Carter had no idea what had happened to the others on the merchant ship. Although, he had a suspicion that they had not made it.

---

The creak of the ship as the wind pressed up against it caused Charlotte to sigh softly. Those were the types of sounds she had grown accustomed to. She fell asleep to those kinds of sounds and woke up to them as well. Charlotte slowly stood up from where she had been sitting against a couple of crates filled with who knows what and pushed her long hair out of her eyes after the wind had blown it there. Her hazel-colored eyes looked up at the light blue sky, watching as the clouds rolled by. The sun seemed to cause the water to glitter and she couldn't help but smile at this. Charlotte loved sunny days; laying out on the deck with her wings stretched out was something she did often. At this, she flexed her wings happily.
Charlotte began to look around the ship after a few moments, noticing the mixture of expressions that were on her shipmates as they passed by. Some seemed anxious and a little worried and she had a feeling she knew why.
Who wouldn't be anxious with two humans now on their ship? Even Charlotte was a tad bit...worried. What if the humans somehow, through some miracle to them, escaped the ship while it was at port or something of the sort? They would surely speak of what they had seen and then the entire ship would be searched for and hunted down. And who knows what would happen then.
However, some didn't seem worried at all. Some actually seemed joyous and a little smug.
Charlotte knew that whenever they brought down another ship and took whatever they found, the ship always got like this. They would get all smug for a few days, but it would eventually wear off.

The hazel-eyed girl was thinking about this when she heard her name being called from nearby. She couldn't help but scowl at this; what was wrong this time? With a soft sigh to herself, Charlotte began to walk over to the Captain, her eyes narrowed out of habit. It wasn't that she disliked her Captain; how could one hate someone who looked like that? It was simply that she didn't like the way he treated the females on his ship. He would flirt all the time with them, which only made Charlotte even more annoyed. She had never voiced her irritation with the man, however. If she did, she would more than likely get punished harshly. At this thought, Charlotte couldn't help but shudder. She didn't even want to know what kinds of punishment the Captain could think of.

Soon, the young pirate found herself standing in front of the Captain as he stood in front of the main wheel. "Yes, sir?" she said, unable to hide the slightly irritated tone that was in her voice. She hoped he didn't notice.

{ READ IT RIGHT NOW!!! D:< It's sooo good!
That's fine, I like Carter more myself. x3 }

William rubbed his eyes but stopped when it caused his head to hurt even more. He thought about standing up but what good would that do? He would probably pass out with the condition of his head. Gently, carefully, William touched the back of his head. There was a good sized lump there and a few traces of blood in his hair - William hoped desperately that it was his own - but it wasn't swelling too badly. William looked up to see that the other boy was awake. He seemed just as confused as he was. William swallowed drily, his throat burning from... from something. William coughed and cleared his throat, frowning with the state he was in, and glanced over at the other boy. They appeared to be around the same age but William could only imagine how different their life was.
"Any ideas as to what happened?" William said softly, his voice scratchy which truly made him wonder if he had been unconscious for more then the night.
Looking around, William could understand a little bit of where they were. They were - unfortunately - in the brig. There was a few seperate (sp) cells and a handful of cargo. A lantern hung by the stairs but it wasn't lit for it seemed to be morning. By the tiny scurrying sounds William also realized that they had rats as well. Wonderful.
The girl. Where had she gone? What was she doing? There were shouts and yells but he could barely make out a single word much less a sentence. The day wasn't looking up as hunger tightened his stomach. He had a bad feeling that they were far out to see with no way of being rescued. Everyone would most likely label everyone who had been on the merchant ship as dead or missing. No one would come looking for a few interns. They weren't valuable enough. There would always be another child to take places as interns, cabin boys, and it didn't matter that a few were lost on the way. It mattered to William. It mattered that something terrible was happening aboard the ship. Or, the ship was just down-right terrible itself...

---*---

Rosetta breathing calmed and her worries melted away. If she was lucky, the Captain would give her at least a half an hour as a small break but after that it would be the same old thing that she loved. Working aboard a ship was different than on land or anywhere else for that matter. Things were always changing. It was amazingly exciting and Rosetta was glad she had made the choice to become a pirate. And with her being a half-blood, things got even easier. There was always a mutual understand between them all. They all knew what each other was going through: The thought of never getting to see their mother or father, the fears that come with powers if they were lucky enough to have them, and the rest of the package deal. It was truly scary at times. But who was she to complain? She had wings and she knew how to use them, what more did she want?
"I believe our prisoners are awake. If you'd be so kind to release them and give them a 'proper' meal I'd be most obliged. We're in the middle of the ocean, they aren't getting away from us." Rosetta faintly heard the sound of the Captain speaking to Charlotte. Sometimes Rosetta would spend time with Charlotte. It was almost as if they understood each other on a deeper level than what came with becoming part of the crew of the Phantom. She didn't know how to describe it but talking to Charlotte was almost... enjoyable?
"Mm she's at it again. Acting as if she doesn't have a care in the world when we all know she has duties of her own!" A playful voice said from above Rosetta. It was a crew member, Jacob, and by the sound of it he had a few of his friends with him. They were classic pirates. All that ran through their minds was rum, girls, and maybe flying. It wasn't hard to dislike them. Yet, Rosetta wasn't sure she would willingly silence anyone aboard. Maybe a few people but not most. They felt like family.
"Go away." Rosetta muttered, keeping her eyes shut and her muscles tense if things did indeed start to get nasty. "You're in my sunlight." That got a few laughs from the boys. As they were about to reply, the Captain hollered at them.
"Get your bums moving or I'll move them for you!" The boys vanished, still chuckling over one joke or another. Rosetta mentally rolled her eyes and went back to ignoring the world. She needed to relax. Things had been tense lately. But Rosetta couldn't quite say why.

{ Gotta go! And feel free to add a few characters to chat with so things don't get boring. ^^ We'll get things settled before I'll add the first twist. >3 }

(( Haha, I probably will over the summer. I'm too busy reading books for RCC D: ))

Carter swallowed the lump that had seemed to form in his throat as he looked up at the other boy. He opened his mouth to reply, but found that his throat was far too scratchy. With a scowl, he cleared his throat, which only made it hurt even worse. "I haven't the faintest idea as to anything that happened, to tell you the truth. Last thing I remember is gettin' hit o'er the head with somethin' and blackin' out," Carter mumbled, seeming to have trouble getting his words into a correct sentence. His words were slightly slurred and he seemed a tad bit dizzy.
At that, he raised his hand and placed it on the back of his head, only to flinch and suck in a quick breath of air in pain. Carter could feel a nice-sized lump and some dried blood, which only made him sigh and lower his hand once more.

He slowly raised his gaze to look around the room, taking in everything around them. By the expression that coated his features, Carter obviously did not like what he saw. He noted the tons of crates, the supplies and the other cells and quickly realized that they were in the brig, which only made his scowl worsen. They seemed to be the only ones down here, which made Carter sigh and look down at the floor. "W-what do you suppose happened to the others?" he asked, his voice soft and a little weary. Just as he opened his mouth to say something else, he heard the door nearby open and he quickly shut it once more. As sunlight poured into the room, Carter saw an irritated girl walk inside. He swallowed the lump that had returned to his throat; what was going to happen now? He could only imagine and what he did, he didn't like.

---

Charlotte felt her small frown turn into a scowl at the Captains request. Why did she have to be the one to release and feed the humans? However, instead of protesting as she would much like to, she simply nodded. "Yes sir, I'll get right on that," she muttered. And, under her breath she said something more, but it was too low for the Captain to hear-at least, Charlotte hoped it was, for it was not something she'd like him to hear.
With a sigh, she turned on her heel and went towards the brig silently. She flashed a quick, weary smile at Rosetta when she passed her, but continued walking. She would have liked to stop and talk to the other for a few minutes, but simply wanted to get her duties done and over with as soon as possible.

Soon, Charlotte found herself going opening the door to the brig and going down the couple of steps. She shut the door behind her, causing the flood of light that had been pouring inside to dim and finally be blocked off completely by the door. She strolled over to the cell that held the two prisoners, her eyes narrowed in an irritated manor. She worldlessly unlocked the cell and pulled open the door, then stepped to the side. "Time to eat; hurry up." Her tone showed that she obviously did not want to be doing this and that she'd like to be anywhere but here. "I was told to give you a proper meal; however, that is not going to happen. You'll eat what I give you and if you don't, you'll die. Got it?" she snapped, glancing back at them. "I'm not going to waste tons of our food on filth like you. If you are lucky, I'll give you enough food to fill you up for a few days."
