When I wanted to play, the pets were ALOT of money.

I'm having a tough time remembering my email e.e only username I can remember is foo-fashion? Idk
I was also banned because someone hacked me and I lost all the good pockey's and foopets did nothing about it to recover.
And the RPing forums were quite messing because of the fact you always have to refresh and not know if someone was replying after you. Like I felt like and idiot to have to edit my post all the time.
Did they change that? I know chickensmoothie stops you from replying and shows someone replied before you.

Yees there were many that did one liners XD Drove everyone nuts. :o So they got another new admin? And then they left? FooKate just left without a word.

Actually, did the activity on the site diminish a lot? I heard it started to get not nearly as active as it was before.

CasperCollie sounds familiar too. Wait Harpalyce sounds super familiar o;
Eeerrr. From what I remember, the site was sold in I think late 2010 or early 2011 and it went downhill from there. "DrJane" was the head admin. Then Ron bought back the site in mid or early 2012. Recently they actually started to fix the site after their servers crashed. I think it's kinda odd how all of a sudden they're making changes. I'm assuming they're trying to get more members.
There was an admin named Traci, I don't know who she was, but she worked with Ron. She handled support tickets for the most part. Ron never really appeared active til recent.
No one really knows what happened to Kate. I wish I did, though. She either quit or got fired, since she left so abruptly without a goodbye or saying she's moving on to something else.

We've been losing members lately but quite a few have started to come back after hearing the changes. I've seen at least 5-10 old members come back lately. But, the site still seems quite dead. Even on the weekends, the forums aren't really active at night. It's quite a bummer.

That sucks. I've never been hacked before, but I was scammed once and lost an oddstat, and it was horrendous >.>
The reply thing hasn't changed. But now that you mention it, I think it'd be a good idea...

CS seems a well enough website to me.
Though I might go back since I like dogs, but it'll be great too if they added ferrets, but I doubt they would.

I don't think they're ever gonna add any pets besides dogs or cats.
They actually don't have an artist right now. I'm hoping that once the site is all fixed they get back into designing pets. I miss getting new pets every few months.

But I'm pretty sure Ron might bring free members for a bit or maybe forever.
Because people usually always start off with just free members and sticking with it for a bit then buying membership or whatever is needed.
And with that he can get enough money to fix the site more and possible more pet designers and back to the way it function before.

I think that's why he brought up the idea.
He basically posted an announcement about it and asked current members opinions and if they'd revert back to free, if their friends would come back, etc. But if he did bring a free option back, those members wouldn't have the same things as the paying members.
Some have suggested, for the free accounts, limiting pet number based on starpoints, having ads (not a lot, and safe, pet/animal related ads) show to the free members, restricting access to forums (I disagree on this one), not allowing breeding or restricting it to a certain amount of breedings allowed, IP restricting one free account .. etc. It's a lot to be worked on.
But I think his idea is to bring back free members who will eventually buy FD or clubfoo so more funds come in, or to at least have a free version so new people can see what the site is like before buying. Like, a free trial in a way, because many people don't want to pay for the site because they have no idea what they're getting for the money.

I can't do that, I'm a social bird, I need to socialize with people, not stalk the forum(ifs that's possible) and just read ;n;
if they purposely put RPing forums back up(if I don't have fooclub), I might be dumb enough to get fooclub for that reason.

If he wants to know if we would come back, that depends. I'm sure most would at least think of coming back if it was free. But what about the staff? Will they seriously change? It wasn't just because of the members when it came to what broke out. We got frustrated with the staff and how they handled things. The way they treated us. They didn't listen to us and did unfairly ban or suspend people. And now he decides to ask our opinion? I guess he woke up and realized pay to play wasn't the way to go after all.


But an absolute NO from me if he restricts forums. Who does that? I stuck around so long because of the people I met there actually. I wanna go back and chat on Retreat for Non Chatspeakers and all those other threads I posted on. I loved the super activity in the forums.

I might pm some former members to this thread. I wonder what they think.

well I personally think the admins are better now. Ron is the main one really. I haven't seen many people get suspended unless for inappropriate behavior or cheating which hasn't happened recently I don't think. I personally believe Ron is stepping up and is going to be a lot better than some of the previous admins that handled all the suspending and such.

Also I don't think they'll restrict forums. Ron didn't suggest that, some current members did. They suggested that to reduce spam but I don't think it'll be an issue as long as we have more ambassadors monitoring the forums.
