Bristlepelt gave a slight nod. "So of course, you know about patrols," He trailed off for a second remembering that this infection was now out. That meant extra caution had to taken. "Actually scratch that. We need to talk about how we are going to do patrols while this infection is out... ah, and how we are going to do just about everything else," he muttered as be fully released a lot was about to change.

Novakit was sitting near the edge of camp. What did this all mean? Did this mean he couldn't be an apprentice until Volantstar returned? He was 6 moons already, and his mother had promised him the other day that his and Mistkit's ceremonies would be soon. The tom glanced towards the deputy. Did Bristlepelt have the authority now to apprentice him? The previously small, pale grey kit had filled out to become large and strong, at least for a young cat. His shoulders were becoming broader as he grew, and he looked more like his father with every passing day.

Crowflight thought a moment. "Yes of course. I suggest not taking apprentices out on patrols, maybe, when training, to keep them near our even inside camp and only let them out for their assessments or if we absolutely need prey. Otherwise leave big hunts and patrolling to warriors?" He suggests.

OOC: Reposts? Also, maybe Wolfpaw and Stripedpaw can interact later, too ;o I would think that Foxpaw would become a warrior soon and maybe Wolfpaw would realize his true calling is a warrior. Stripedpaw also needs her full name...but I don't know how that would work since she has no mentor.

Daemongeist let out a puff of breath. "Fatty?" He planted a paw on the she-cat's shoulder, preventing her from getting back to her paws. "Is that any way to speak to your sa--"
A crackle in the woods startled him. Was someone watching them? Daemongeist's ears flicked, and he looked over at the brushes. There, a pair of glowing golden eyes were fixed on them. Daemongeist's heart sunk to his paws. Had they been found out?
"Hello?" Daemongeist questioned oddly.

"Oh, who are you to tell me what to do? Fatty." Taunting him by the little nickname she had given him, but then instantly her ears flicked, pale green eyes widening, as she looked up at the tom above her. "What?" What was it? She could only see eyes. Eyes of.. of what?

Bristlepelt sighed, "But they are still warriors in training and if we survive this then we need strong warriors, not ones that have no clue what there doing.. Although I agree, they of course need to be kept safe and in camp more. We can slightly decrease how much they go on patrols and increase the size of all patrols. Maybe we should try training in camp, some of the time, though."

Darkclaw padded over to Bristlepelt. "Do you need me to do anything? Boarder patrol? Hunt? Clean out the nursery?"

Volantstar continued the patrol, leading the way towards the twoleg area, she wished to get there quickly while daylight still held tightly to the sky, clinging as much as it could. "We'll be there soon, we should hunt first though." Volantstar said to the group of cats. "Are any of you hungry? We'll have to live off mice in twoleg territory unless you want to travel out to the forest for however many days we're here."

Ravenfrost flicked up his ears and typed his had to the side, listening intently to something before scenting the air closely. "There is pretty nearby. We might not get a chance to get good prey later, your right. I vote hunting some now. We'll bed the energy."

Crowflight nodded. "True...Maybe not too much with the boarder patrols, though in all honesty...if there are many cats getting this disease and they encounter them on the patrols, were risking them greatly. I suppose if we take them on patrols then the patrols with have to have more senior warriors and maybe in a bigger group. Have ask the apprentices go at one point. Size can affect the outcome of say...an attack? I dunno really but...or we can have two go at a time with the senior warrior idea? Have more patrols more often? As for hunting parties, they should really just stay close to camp. Camp and near the rivers and lake?"
