She nodded and parted the she cats forhead fur with a paw. " cuncousion." she mewed as she spit some marigold on the wound. she wrapped cobweb around and mixed the poppy seeds with the honey sticking it down the she cats throat.

She shifted uneasily, looking down at her paws. She looked at Foxflower, thinking to herself.

The small she-cat prowled along the bank, keeping to the tall reeds and cattail plants. She paused for a moment to search for waterbirds before continuing. Rosetail stopped in her tracks as a water vole scurried by in front of her. It wasn't a bird, but it was prey. She jumped onto the vole and killed it swiftly, then buried it where she could find it. She began to walk down stream when she paused at the edge of the water. It lapped over her paws, as if telling her to come swim. She glanced around her. No one. She purred then jumped into the water.

Personality ;; He is a slightly defensive cat who would rather settle something with fighting than calm words. He is easily provoked and easily upset. Calling him a coward will instantly make him want to prove you wrong.

History ;; His father was the deputy of a clan called Meadowclan, his mother a rogue. Together they had five kits, and only he survived. His mother grew ill and brought him to his father, who talked the leader into letting him keep Nightpaw, who was then named Darkness. His mother died soon after. His father renamed him Nightkit and loved him dearly. Until he found out that Nightkit was blind in one eye. He believed that he couldn't be a warrior if he was half blind, and told the leader this. The leader took pity upon Nightkit and didn't kick him out. Instead he introduced him to the medicine cat and said he would be their apprentice. Nightkit was fine with being a medicine cat, though he still wanted to show his father that he could be a warrior. A few days before he could be apprenticed, he sneaked out of the camp and tracked down a baby fox that had been annoying the clan. The fox was ill and weak, and he was a large kit. He killed it and brought it back to camp and showed his father. His father ignored the fact of why he had done it, and scolded his son for leaving. The next day the leader passed away, and Nightkit's father announced that Nightkit wouldn't have a ceremony due to him hunting the fox. He'd have to wait four more moons.
Nightkit was shunned by his den-mates who were apprenticed the next day. They insulted him, and all his father did was stand by and watch. By the time Nightkit was six and a half moons, he was bigger than those apprentices. His nest in the nursery was actually two pushed together. But his father wouldn't budge. So Nightkit waited. Finally, a few days before he was seven moons, he broke. He left camp and practiced hunting. He practiced all day. Then the next and next. He practiced for a whole week none stop, and no one even noticed. When he was sure he was ready, he went hunting one morning before dawn. That night he brought back three rabbits five mice and a crow, the largest haul of the day. He had spent an entire day hunting, and his father only scolded. But this time it was bad. His father said that he couldn't stay in the clan, due to being half blind, half rogue, and disobeying. Nightkit was led to the border and left there.
For a month he fended for himself. He taught himself to fight in his own way, and often had to fight other cats for food. It was no way for a kitten to live. On a third day without food, after being chased away from his catch, he ran into a cat. He prepared to fight, but they just stood there. They offered him a place in their group, and Nightkit accepted. He joined the Crusaders as Nightpaw, and has been there for three weeks so far.

With elegant strides, Rosetail swam in the river. She felt something hit her paw and went under. The she-cat popped up a second later with a small fish in her jaws. She swam into the shallows then waded to shore to stash her fish with the vole.

Nightpaw prowled around camp in a daze. He had woken up only moments before, and was still half-asleep. He missed a rock on his blind side and tripped, falling into a bush. He hissed and pulled himself out, ignoring the clumps of fur her left. He sat down and curled his tail around his paws. He watched his clan mates, bored. When was his mentor gonna take him training?
