But I just placed it so that it fits the ear in both cases.

yeah, it looks like they messed with the shape of it. o_O imo itd look better if the artist had added some hair tufts behind the ear.

edit ;; with the normal ear it looks as though the hair is linear behind the ear and goes into the tuft we see at the front but they removed that on the crimple-eared!
