If anyone wants to try out a mod pack. I suggest trying the mod pack called "Life In The Woods". It's a mix of all sorts of mods and it's fantastic! Makes hunger a lot harder to manage, gives you boatloads of new foods, crops, trees, ect. Has Biomes o' plenty on it which is one of my all time favorite mods as well.

Installing mods since the 1.6 update (I think it was that one...) has become sooooooo much easier.

Must disagree. While neither method is 'easier' than the other, the newer one has a few more steps that take up extra time and can easily be forgotten.

Personally, I find dropping one file into the mods folder WAY easier than having to unzip it, modify the .jar, and delete the META-INF folder but that's just me.

Am I the only one who likes to build cool structures like towns an' stuff in creative then go into survival amd live in them? I don't like building much in survival, and when I build in creative I always want to do something with my structures so I've mainly been doing this hybrid gameplay as of late.

@SnowStar I really like that modpack. Are you using the hungry version?

I joined ZoZak's server and died in my first night. I was poisoned by a witch and shot by a skelly. I got revenge though. THE SKELETON WAR IS NOT OVEEEEEEEEEEER!!!

*ahem* Anyways, I got 2 free keys on Mineplex, a Halloween treat I think, and opened the two chests I had stored up. One contained a rare 2045 coins, and the other a rare Glacial Steed and coin bomb. I then proceeded to throw a coin party.

Maybe you can get FTB or technic. They both come with loads of mods, and there's almost no installation required (I think you have to tell FTB where to put it's files but otherwise you don't need to do any technical stuff). Although it is quite a lot to just jump into a modpack unprepared, and a lot of modpacks are laggy and don't work on older, slower computers.

The command /gamemode <0 is survival, 1 is creative> <player> but it only works if you have cheats enabled. If they aren't enabled, you can open your world to LAN and enable cheats like that.

To edit your skin, you'll need to go to minecraft.net and click profile. Just scroll down for the skin section. After that it's pretty self explanatory, just upload a file from your computer to be your skin.

Actually, I think that creative is gamemode 0, survival 1, and spectator 2.
